Has The Mystery Of The Paulding Lights Been Solved?

One popular theory is that the Paulding Light is caused by the reflection of car headlights from a distant highway.

In 2010, students from the Michigan Tech chapter claimed to have solved the mystery by identifying the Paulding Lights as the head and tail lights of vehicles traveling on US-45 north of the observation site.

However, this theory has been debunked by many researchers who have shown that the light appears even when there is no traffic on the nearby roads.

I don't know about you, but my gut tells me it's probably a combination of headlights in the distance and a reflection of some kind of natural light.
