Pronto Pups Announces Opening Date for the 2025 Season in Grand Haven

The long wait is almost over: Grand Haven’s beloved Pronto Pups stand has officially announced their opening date for summer 2025.

For West Michiganders and visitors alike, Pronto Pups opening for the season is the first true sign that summer is almost here. After months of cold snow, grey skies and seasonal depression, we can finally get that perfect crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside corn dog, the countdown is finally on.

This year marks an incredible milestone for Grand Haven's beloved Pronto Pup, because they are celebrating their 78th season of serving up its famous hand-dipped corn dogs along the lakeshore.

Originally meant to last five years, the little stand with a big reputation has far exceeded expectations, becoming one of the most iconic food spots in West Michigan. With its no-frills approach (cash only, no credit cards) and just $1.75 per pup, it’s a reminder that some traditions are meant to stick around for nearly a century, just as they are.

Starting April 4th, Pronto Pups will be open daily from 11am to 9pm, making it the perfect stop for a quick lunch while you walk, an afternoon snack, or a post-beach dinner. Whether you’re grabbing one (or three if you're like me) before heading to the Grand Haven State Park or simply making a special trip just for that unmistakable taste, nothing beats standing lakeside with a fresh, hot Pronto Pup in hand.
