Celebration Cinemas Rivertown Crossings Is Finally Getting Heated Recliners, Full Bar and More!
The last Celebration Cinema location in Grand Rapids without those awesome heated recliners, is finally getting their day.
After spending the last few years updating all of their locations in the Grand Rapids area to have recliners and full bars, the theatre chain teased on Monday that they are turning their attention to the last location on their list, Rivertown Crossings.
Did you know these West Michigan McDonalds locations still have playplaces? ⬇️
According to WOODTV, the development group that purchased Rivertown Crossing Mall last year ( Poag Development Group) have spilled the tea that Studio C (the owners of Celebration Cinema) plan to spend 5 million dollars to upgrade the movie theatre attached to the mall.
In the renovations we can expect to see new heated recliners, a full bar, as well as a C Premium theatre like the one they recently added at the Celebration South location. That theatre will have 4k laser projectors, as well as Dolby Atmos sound.
According to sources, the C Premium theatre should be finished by may, which means we could be enjoying a premium movie experience (with toasty butts) inside Rivertown Crossings by this summer. However, no word on if they plan to keep that awesome vintage carpet that they've been rocking for years.
I'd like to say for all of the haters in the back, Rivertown Crossings is far from dead, and here's your proof. This mall has so much life, so many unique stores, and now is about to have one of the nicest movie theatres in West Michigan. Cheers to the era of the mall, maybe this proof brick and mortar is back and thriving.
