Storms hit West Michigan again this weekend.

10,000 Consumers Energy customers lost power, there were downed trees and flooding, and five sailboats were capsized on Reeds Lake during a regatta.

Storms blew into East Grand Rapids and onto Reeds Lake quickly during a regatta on Saturday.

Mlive.com gives us details:

Five small sailboats were capsized as the storm, carrying wind gusts of up to 40 miles an hour, blew across the lake near the end of a race among 10 boats.  All of the boat occupants were uninjured and quickly pulled out by fellow racers.

Great to hear everyone is safe after this storm blew through East Grand Rapids.  Good news for the few remaining without power too.  All Consumers Energy customers are expected to have power back before Monday.
