Grand Rapids Police are keeping their eyes open for a suspicious man who approached two young girls on a playground at Immaculate Heart of Mary School on Plymouth in Grand Rapids.

WOOD-TV 8 reports the shirtless man asked the girls if they wanted to pet his dogs, and attempted to draw them closer to his car.

Two older children, who knew something was up, approached the man, and the girls, and told them to go back to their parents. WOOD-TV reports the parents were watching a game at a nearby field.

Police say the man attempted to draw the girls closer to the car by asking if they wanted to water his dogs, he even put his hat on one of the girls.

Police are looking for a white male, who is anywhere between his mid-30s to 50-years-old. He as two large dogs with him, one black and one brown, and he was wearing a baseball cap. Police say the car he was driving was an older model, silver, four door sedan. They say the car is either an Escort or Cavalier.
