West Michigan Man Creates New Taco Bell Menu Item
You never know what’s going to blow up on the internet, but “helping Taco Bell reinvent the Crunchwrap” probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. Unless you’re Brock Horton from Holton, Michigan.
Taco Bell just unveiled its new “Fan Style Menu,” a program where Taco Bell lovers across the country were invited to remix, reimagine, or level-up existing menu items.
Since we all think that we can take something that already exists and make it better, over 40,000 fans sent in their creations. Only three were picked, and one of them was Brock’s.
According to a post circulating in a local Facebook group, Brock didn’t just submit a recipe and call it done. Taco Bell actually flew him out to Los Angeles to help perfect his creation before it hits menus nationwide. (And this will probably help put Holton/Muskegon County on the map, right?)
So, what exactly did he dream up? It’s called the California Crunchwrap, and I can’t wait to try it.
Brock took the classic Crunchwrap and said he wanted to give it what he describes as a SoCal-inspired glow-up. His version swaps in steak, adds seasoned fries, folds in a layer of guacamole, and keeps it all tucked inside that iconic grilled Crunchwrap shell.
“I can’t remember the first time I had a Crunchwrap, but it’s been my go-to for years,” Brock said in Taco Bell’s announcement. “I kept seeing people in California add fries to their burritos, so one day I tried it in a Crunchwrap instead and it just worked. Now it’s my new Taco Bell staple, and I can’t wait for people everywhere to try it.”
You can find it for a limited time across the us starting today (November 20th) and if it’s anything like all of the other things I love on their menu, it’ll be gone be long. So make sure you stop by and try it soon.
