Those trekking to Grand Haven City Beach this summer may want to plan on paying for parking. The Grand Haven Tribune reports that officials have put a plan in motion to charge for parking at the 61-space City Beach lot on "peak beach days".

Even though it's early in the season, South Haven police have already had to to shut down a beach because of visitors' behavior. Wood TV 8 reports that South Haven's South Beach was closed for two hours on Wednesday after complaints about hundreds of college students partying on the beach.

Plans are being finalized to build an inflatable water park with slides, trampolines and more along a Lake Michigan beach. The park will be open to all ages.

Michigan summers were meant to be enjoyed outdoors which makes finding the time to get to yoga class more challenging. This summer, that's not going to be a problem. The Michigan DNR says Muskegon State Park will host Great Lakes Beach Yoga all summer!

Friday was a fun day for Grand Rapids as the beach moved downtown for Sun of a Beach Festival! We brought the sand, the beer, the food, music and, heck, even a party boat!
