The weekend features Pulaski Days in Grand Rapids! There's also a Goose Festival, Fall & Harvest Celebrations, Dogs & Donuts, Donuts & Beer, Oktoberfest, & Concerts.
There are a couple of reasons to wear red this weekend...Pulaski Days and the Red Flannel Festival. It’s also the final Friday for the Food Trucks at Riverside Park. There’s theater, comedy, a chance to run on the runway at the airport, a Donut Fest, small trees and flowers, a Pumpkin Train, and an event for you and the dog.
ArtPrize continues along with several different festivals this weekend. There are a couple of charity events going on, Sinbad is in town, there is a birthday celebration, free ice cream and more.
I'm not generally a breakfast eater, but this morning I had one of the most delicious breakfasts ever. Pierogies from Diamond Street Hall. Of course, all of the Polish halls are gearing up for Pulaski Days this weekend, and the folks at Diamond Hall decided to pit John Shaner from Fox 17 and I against each other in a pierogi eating contest.
Pulaski Days is a Polish festival celebrated annually on the first full weekend of October in Grand Rapids. You'll find Polish food, polka, and long lines so get there early.
There are rehearsals for weddings, school plays, and everything else. Why not have a rehearsal solely for the purpose of sharpening your partying skills?
The Pulaski Days Rehearsal Party takes place this Saturday at the Elks Lodge #48 at 2715 Leonard in Grand Rapids. If you need practice eating kielbasa this is the place to do it.
