Are you someone who takes pictures of their food and then posts it on social media?

Guilty!

I am definitely one of those people. BUT I don't do this for EVERYTHING I eat. Only when I'm at a really good restaurant or the food looks really tasty and is presented nicely.

Lile, this past weekend, I went to Mangiamo!, in Eastown, for the first time and I ordered their Quinoa Vegetable Tower. I added shrimp and when it came out... I knew I had to take a picture!

Doesn't that look amazing?! It's not the best picture but I was so excited to eat it! And as it turns out, a study just found that taking a picture of your food before you eat it, makes it taste better.

According to CBC,

Instagramming your food allows you to savour the experience, making your food taste even better when you finally get to chow down."

As a person who takes pictures of their food, I 100% agree with this! Everytime I take a picture of one of my meals it makes me that much more anxious to eat it.

However, there is a catch: the study found that this is only the case when the food is unhealthy. If you Instagram your salad it's not going to be as pleasurable as opposed to a big juicy burger.

Take this for example, a messy burger from Five Guys

Nope, I still want to devour both equally #foodporn
