The Things Men & Women Want to See on a First Date

As exciting as going on a first date can be, it can also be just as nerve-wracking.

A survey of 2,000 people found what men and women want to see on a first date, specifically at dinner, since most first dates include going out to eat. The survey, reported in the Daily Mail, found that food has a significant impact on how we feel about our date.

When it comes to food, the survey found that salad is a boring choice and men would be "turned on" by a women who orders messy food such as a burger or ribs.

These are the top 5 things women want to see:

1. Good Manners (56%)
2. Ask a lot of questions about the other person (42%)
3. Enjoying your food (27%)
4. Guy pays for the bill -- the whole thing! (26%)
5. Have a few drinks (17%)

These are the top 5 things men want to see:

1. Ask a lot of questions about the other person (31%)
2. Enjoying your food (26%)
3. Have a few drinks (24%)
4. You're nice to the waiter (12%)
5. Good manners (12%)

Overall, it looks like men and women want the same thing when it comes to a first date.
