This Is When The Fall Foliage Will Peak This Year In Michigan
Attention Leafers! The leaves will be changing color soon and we have your guide for West Michigan fall foliage!
Every year the Smokey Mountains' website puts together a Fall Foliage Map that shows when the color change begins and ends for every part of the 48 contiguous states.
Here are the highlights for the lower region of Michigan:
- The color change will begin around September 24th, but will be minimal/patchy until October 1st.
- Once October 1st rolls around, you will begin to see most trees’ leafs starting to change color.
- The prime time for the color change begins around October 8th and eventually will peak around October 22nd.
