I’m not saying I usually trust shirtless men in Downtown Grand Rapids to give me their reviews on businesses, but for some unknown reason I trust this specific shirtless man.

A bizarre tiktok that has been making it’s rounds on local social media is making a buzz because of a man’s rapid fire :06 second review on why you should visit a business located on Ottawa in Downtown Grand Rapids.

Speaking of TikTok: Did you see this video about creepy critters in the Midwest? ⬇️

The video was originally posted on March 18th, but I have a feeling it may have been shot the weekend before since it’s a pretty common trend to go drinking around St Patrick’s Day in downtown Grand Rapids. But, thanks to this year’s unseasonably warm St Patrick’s Day weekend, we ended up with this goldmine of a review.

The unnamed man (@afny.obac on Tiktok) grabbed his camera, lined up the perfect selfie, and in just a few seconds demanded that everyone bring their “b— a—“ to check out Webster Market at what he calls the corner of Lyon and Pearl Street. (It’s actually on Ottawa near Pearl, but you know what, this guy is doing his best to be a hype man for a business he doesn’t own. Let’s not get into semantics here.)

So while generally, I don’t think you should take advice from a stranger who isn’t wearing a shirt in a very public space, I will say: Webster’s is pretty great, especially if you’re downtown and need a quick grab and go snack or drink.

But, you should just trust this man instead:

Whether you're a skeptic, a believer, paranoid or just someone who likes to look into local legends and folklore, thinking of some of these creatures existing in your backyard is enough to send shivers down your spine.
