West MI Schools Already Announcing Early Dismissal Tuesday, Because Of The Heat

Man, this kind of stuff never happened when I was in school.  Of course back then it snowed more and we got snow days off (and I lived in the south, so we got A LOT of days off if it snowed) but this out of season heat wave is causing schools to close early again Tuesday afternoon.

Rockford sent out their text of “lunchtime dismissal” at 3:15 pm Monday afternoon and a look at WZZM13’s school closing list, they’re not alone.

Ionia  and Comstock Public Schools are among a small list that have already announced early dismissal for Tuesday, September 26^th because of the extreme heat.

Now if I could just get my boss to call the day early… here’s to sweating and hoping!
