Roxie is a Tibetan terrier and only nine months old. And she's from Michigan. And she's on TV!

Lynn Miller, who lives in Detroit now, grew up in Battle Creek. She never had the acting bug, however, her dog is camera ready! Roxie the Terrier can be seen Wednesday nights on NBC. She's featured in the TV shows "Chicago P.D.” and “Chicago Fire".

Miller befriended a dog trainer, Christine Mahaney with the company “WHATADOG.” Mahaney saw a lot of promise in Roxie. Miller told WOOD TV,

"It’s way beyond the little tricks you normally teach your dogs. These dogs have to be able to work around noise and distractions, they have to be able to accept other people and do things other people tell them to do. The biggest thing is they have to be able to work from a distance, so when I work on training her, I’m 15 feet away.”

You can watch the "Chicago" shows on Wednesdays on WOOD TV8. The line-up begins at 8pm  with “Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire” at 9 p.m. and then Roxie’s performance on “Chicago P.D.” at 10 p.m. The puppy’s role in the show isn’t big. But, boy, is Roxie cute! What a good girl!
