So for Christmas this year Alicia got me a riding mower. Now I must say this is something I have really really wanted for awhile but have been to cheap to get it. With the year we had last year … her breaking her collar bone, Covid and of course the big one Connie passing she decided it was the perfect time. With Mother’s Day and Father’s day coming up I thought this could be fun.

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What’s the last thing you got as a gift that really excited you? Why?

  • A dozen eggs from a friend’s chickens. Because they are organic and tasty! I used some to make my daughter’s birthday cake last weekend.
  • A 65inch tv lol
  • A Cross-stitch Blanket from Mom
  • A Vintage Shawnee Smiley Pig Cookie Jar
  • I have been asking for a cake like this for my birthday for YEARS, and my girlfriend finally made it happen for me. She got it at the famous Carlo’s bakery in New Jersey and it was amazing. I was so excited and it made me feel loved.
  • Keurig Machine
  • A diamond heart in motion necklace from my husband, for our 30th anniversary.
  • An antique instrument known as a Concertina. It was handmade in Germany in the 1890s!! My mom found it and gave it to me as a 23rd birthday gift. It still sounds beautiful! It's a wonderful thing to pick up new hobbies while lonely during Covid.
  • A rock from one of my daycare kids. Best present ever....
  • Framed wedding pictures from my daughters wedding!!!!!
  • My family is stuck in quarantine. Today I finally had a mental breakdown with more tears than I've ever cried. I was right in the middle of this when my neighbor drove by, knocked on the door and left. I composed myself after crying for 20 minutes. I opened the door and she had left a bouquet of tulips on my doorstep. I texted her and told her her timing was perfect. All she said was " your welcome, call it mom's intuition" it was so thoughtful and came at the perfect time.
  • My laptop. So I can watch marvel movies whenever I wanted
  • Ugg Slippers
  • A week in January at a condo on the ocean for the rest of my life
  • A powder puff. Could not find any anywhere. Hubby ordered me 4 online
  • A pair of earrings
  • My jigsaw, so I could help with our kitchen remodel and every other project around our house
  • Balloon Animals
  • My dad got me Olds Rocket rims from the junkyard for Christmas when I was 17. I was so stoked to dump the grandpa wire hubcaps for something sportier on my Cutlass. It was so cool refinishing them with him
  • My little humans. Greatest gifts God has given me
  • Spa day for an afternoon
  • The last thing I got as a gift that really excited me was a gift I got for myself, a 9 week old beagle puppy. My Rascal is 12 years old now.
  • A nespresso machine
  • I got going away mead from a friend that works at the meadery I go to.
  • A rowing machine! I really wanted one for cardio!
  • Airfryer!!!
  • A picture frame from a great friend and coworker
  • A mermaid tail painting for Christmas! It is seriously my favorite picture! The guy who gave it to me, has a special place in my heart and knowing it came from him makes it so much more treasured!
  • Robot Vacuum
  • My dishwasher. Because my old one was ugly and my new one looks so pretty!
  • Black stone grill.
  • A Harry Potter flask.
  • My husband got me an espresso maker!
  • My daughter got me amazing seats to Phantom of the Opera for my birthday right before the pandemic.
  • Concert tickets!
  • An umbrella! Who wants to buy themselves an umbrella
  • When my dad gave me his train set. Something he treasured so it meant a lot to me. He's deceased now so it's a memory I treasure.
  • A really good chef's knife. I love to cook and a solid knife makes a huge difference. Both with cooking and making me realize that I’m an adult at 28
  • Best gift was on Easter of this year....I finally got to see my grandson who had been kept away from me as I guess I ticked off the parents and the last time I had seen him was last July. And we only live 5 blocks away from each other
  • The last gift I got that I was excited about was my Abercrombie 8 perfume. I love this perfume and have been buying it since 99, but it's so expensive I only want it as a gift lol. So I get it for Christmas from my fiance or his mom.
  • My sister gave me a subscription to Sketch Box so every month I get a box in the mail with new and unique art supplies to create a small piece of art. They provide you an example of how to use the supplies and a list of everything on the box. It is awesome!!!! And I get it every month!
  • An entry into a marathon. It gave me a goal.
  • This past Christmas my fiancé got me a star. It officially has my name and it made me cry happy tears because it was so awesome. I am an astronomy nerd, so it totally works!!!
  • The company I work for got everyone a gift certificate for a massage. I've never had one and was kinda nervous but it was amazing!
  • My dad bought me car wash necessities for Christmas. Doesn't sound too exciting to a normal person, but I have a Corvette in the garage who needs pampering I've never been so excited to receive a fancy sponge in my life
  • My first ever Boudoir photo shoot. It’s been a really rough past 6 months so I needed to do something to keep me motivated to keep taking care of me!
  • 3 bottles of wine....I broke 2 of the 3 big bones in my ankle. Had surgery & was laid up for 8 weeks...couldn't do anything but drink
  • My friend and also my boss gave me a balloon animal toy Totally caught me off guard causing laughter and red face when I saw what it was! But, yup, last really good gift
  • My wife bought me a portable drink and food smoker. It is this little dome that you put over food and smoke it up. Gives me the heebie jeebies talking about it. Christine and Steve would prolly use it as a sweet space helmet bong thing. Which really wouldn’t be a bad idea.
  • Last thing I got as a gift that really excited me, my boyfriend did some drunk amazoning and bought me 3 CASES of Reese eggs. He is my forever ♥
  • My rottie pup I've always wanted a rottweiler and my husband made that dream come true !!
