Another Marvel superhero movie, but it's based on a more recent comic you've never heard of.  Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Zoe Saldana, and rassler David Bautista bond when they break out of an alien prison.

 

 

A couple of them only do voices . . . Cooper's a CGI raccoon and Vin Diesel is a walking plant whose only dialogue is "I am Groot."

 

 

The bad guys trying to destroy the universe are Lee Pace . . . the father of Legolas in the "Hobbit" movies . . . and Karen Gillan, who plays Amy Pond on "Doctor Who".

 

 

The rest of the cast includes John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Nathan Fillion, Benicio Del Toro, and Djimon Hounsou.

Chadwick Boseman stars in this movie about the life of James Brown.  Although all the music is done with Brown's real voice.  Nelsan Ellis from "True Blood" plays his best friend, and Dan Aykroyd is the agent they sign with.

 

 

Mick Jagger helped produce it, and he says, "Every record you've got in your collection, every download you've got, is influenced by James Brown.  When I first saw [him], I copied his moves straight away.  I couldn't DO them.  I just did my versions."

The Anti-"Fifty Shades of Grey" is Also Coming Out on Valentine's Day 

There's a Christian indie relationship movie called "Old Fashioned" that's coming out on Valentine's Day . . . meaning it's going up against "Fifty Shades of Grey".  The director and star says, quote, " One is a modestly budgeted indie flick that seeks to make room for godly romance in contemporary America.  The other is a multi-million dollar studio film based on a best-selling erotic novel that has . . . other goals in mind."
