Due to an unpaid tax bill of $6.30, a woman's home was sold.

Eileen Battisti, a recent widow from Pennsylvania, was denied her request to reverse the selling of her and her late husband's $280,000 house because of an unpaid tax bill of $6.30.

Battisti claims to have not known about the small bill. She explains that her husband mainly did the paperwork for their property taxes before he passed in 2004, and the fact that the house was sold over such a small amount is ridiculous. Battisti still lives in the house, and plans to appeal the ruling.

The judge believes that there is no doubt that she had received the receipt months prior, and by law, he made the right decision.
