While we've become accustomed to the blooms and beauty of May, the Northern part of the state is about to get hit with some measurable snow tonight.

What will be some light rain and thunderstorms around the Grand Rapids area Tuesday night into Wednesday will be 6 inches of snow for the folks in the Keweenaw Peninsula in the northern most part of the Upper Peninsula.

The 3-5 inches predicted for Marquette, if it falls, would move the snow totals this winter to over 230 inches, and make the winter of 2018-19 the eighth snowiest ever in that city.

Thank God I'm in Grand Rapids.
