I met my wife Lindsey in Grand Rapids seven years ago when I worked at a country station and went by the name Flounder. Working in radio does not always guarantee stability and often you have to move. Sometimes the move is for a better opportunity or in my case, just to find a job because you're about to be replaced by a syndicated show because it's the cheaper option for the station.

In the past seven years, I've been in Evansville, IN, Indianapolis, IN, and most recently I was in San Antonio, TX doing a morning show. While working in other markets, whenever I would come home once or twice a year to see friends and family, Grand Rapids and West Michigan just kept growing and growing. I was amazed to see how much has changed and all the new things that kept popping up.

After having the chance to come back home and do radio again in West Michigan my wife Lindsey told me she really wants to start exploring our city again. I thought that was a great idea, but I didn't really know where to start. There seemed to be so many new or newish restaurants around West Michigan, so I reached out to my friends on Facebook and asked for some help.
