Any seasoned Taco Bell enthusiast knows that not all locations are created equal.

Picking the wrong one can mean the difference between a late-night miracle and a disappointing horror story. And if you don’t know better, you don’t want to roll the dice and end up at that Taco Bell—you know, the one on Michigan Street in Grand Rapids.

Grand Rapids desperately wants these restaurants to return in 2025 ⬇️

The one Taco Bell that has an entire subreddit dedicated to how much everyone hates it. The same nightmare location where dreams of a perfect Crunchwrap go to die. One wrong move, and suddenly, you’re staring down a soggy, half-wrapped abomination with missing ingredients and a suspiciously empty Baja Blast cup. It’s a gamble no one should have to take.

After all, when your Taco Bell craving hits you’re not just looking for food, you’re looking for a lifesaver. A comforting, predictable bite of seasoned beef, melty cheese. Or maybe the cool refreshing taste of baja blast can bring you back from the dead. But pick the wrong location, and you might as well be ordering a mystery meal with a side of regret. The Michigan Street Taco Bell isn’t just bad—it’s legendary in its ability to disappoint.

I dug around to find West Michigan’s favorite Taco Bell location, it overwhelmingly comes down to two locations:

If you're inside Grand Rapids, your highest rated location is the most northern location in the city, located at 5049 Northland Dr NE:

Fans rave on google that this Taco Bell location just gets it.

Nate K left a review saying "Ok... You already know Taco Bell is the place to go, but if you don't.... TACO BELL IS THE PLACE TO GO! The staff here is amazing and my food is always great(for my taste buds at least). Spent probably more money than an alcoholic does on beer at Taco Bell, but it's all worth it in the end...."

While Brandon R explained why Grand Rapids residents rely on this location for their Taco Bell fix, "This particular taco bell stands out above the rest. Never have they ever got my order wrong. When ever i eat here the taco's taste a little better, the soda has more fizz, a surge of excitement boils in my belly pulling up in the drive."

While the location has it's fair share of complaints since it is still a Taco Bell, you have to admit- this one is most likely to get it right. And that's worth the trip.

If you're not in Grand Rapids, your highest (4 star) rated Taco Bell is in Cedar Springs on 17 Mile Road. So do yourself a favor: choose wisely, or prepare to stare into the culinary abyss of missing items and lukewarm nightmares.
