Chickens Now Allowed In Grand Rapids

Good news for those wanting to farm their own eggs!

No better way to get fresh local eggs than raising your own chickens, and WOOD-TV 8 reports that the Grand Rapids City Commission adopted the measure to allow chickens in the city limits.

UPDATE: WOOD-TV 8 reports that this is a 2 year pilot program that will kick off May 1. Residents will need a permit and there are many more restrictions. You can get the full rundown directly from the city here.
