Condition Then Shampoo: You’ve Been Washing Your Hair Wrong This Whole Time!
Everything you knew about hair washing is now a lie. Our whole lives we followed a specific process: Rinse, lather (shampoo), & repeat. Then you condition. But we've been doing it wrong this entire time, according to hair experts.
Refinery 29 says that conditioning first is the trick to "achieving a killer mane." Not only does it add nourishment to your hair but it won't weigh it down, either. In addition, and probably the best reason, is it makes your blow-dry last even longer.
You don't even have to change up routine, just reverse it to get the most out of your hair. If you have thick hair, like I do, it's recommended that you condition-shampoo-condition for the best results.
Also, you're probably used to putting conditioner only on the bottom half of your hair, however, if you condition first ... go crazy with it -- root to tips!
