If you have a teenager who still needs the COVID-19 vaccine, tomorrow is an opportunity to get it taken care of.

SpartanNash is hosting the vaccine clinic for 16 and 17-year-old teens on Tuesday, April 13 at 5221 Cherry Ave. in Hudsonville from 3 to 8 p.m. The company says they are doing this specifically for teens due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in people under 19 in West Michigan. SpartanNash says getting kids vaccinated is an important part in helping keep them and their families, teachers, and peers safe.

Receiving a COVID-19 vaccination is the best way to help stop this virus and pandemic, especially for those most currently most at risk of contracting COVID-19 and suffering long-term health effects

Currently, the only vaccine approved for 16-year-old's is the Pfizer one so that is the one that will be given tomorrow. The next shot will be given 21 days later. Because they are considered minors, a parent or legal guardian will need to be present for the appointment.

This isn't a walk-up clinic so you must make an appointment first and fill out a health screening prior to. The vaccine will be administered at no charge.

SpartanNash is currently offering the COVID-19 vaccine at their various stores around West Michigan including Family Fare, D&W, and Forest Hills Foods.
