Feeling Thirsty? These Are The Best Non-Alcoholic Drinks in Beer City

Grand Rapids is known around the world for our incredible selection of beers and breweries. In fact, Grand Rapids earned the title of Beer City USA because we have the most breweries per capita of anywhere in the US.

When I moved to Grand Rapids, I was super excited to live in a city with such an amazing night life and concert scene, but as of this week I'm two years alcohol free. So, what do you do if you're living in Beer City and not partaking in our biggest export?

You drink fancy non-alocholic drinks. And you'd be shocked to find out that this city has just as many options as they do the opposite.

Here are some of the many places to get a non-alcoholic beverage that's fun and tasty:

While they may be known for their legendary cocktail list, their mocktail list rivals it. They also offer to make many of their cocktails as mocktails, so you don't have to explain to anyone why you aren't drinking too.

I can't tell you how obsessed I am with this vendor at the Downtown Market. If you're looking for a niche soda or drink, there is a high likelihood you'll find it on their shelves. I highly recommend one of my favorites, Ale8-One, which is a ginger ale from Kentucky that is very similar to Vernors.

Sure, this rooftop beer garden is known for it's incredible drink selection when it comes to all things alcohol. They still pride themselves on their huge selection of mocktails including a NA mule. So the next time you're going out downtown and want to offer up a location that can suit everyone, throw Knoop into the mix.
