Over the past couple of weeks, residents of West Michigan have been warned over credit card skimmers at the gas pumps. WOOD-TV reports that five people, all with connections to Miami, Florida, have been arrested and arraigned as of Friday.

The suspects, ages 17 to 43, "...each face charges of possession of an automated sales suppression device (a “skimmer”) and conducting a criminal enterprise." They are all being held on a $1 million cash bond and face 20 years in prison. One suspect is also wanted in Colorado for identity theft.

Police believe the case may be linked to complaints also made in Ionia County.
