You Can Now See Concerts Poolside at Gun Lake Casino

West Michigan has no shortage of world-class venues to see some of your favorite comedians, artists, and musicians. But, when it comes to choices for entertainment, I’ve always lived within the idea of ‘the more the merrier’

That’s why when Gun Lake Casino announced that they would be opening a brand new music venue, I knew we were in for yet another amazing option for something to do. I just never imagined it would look quite like this.

Over the weekend, the Wawyé Oasis hosted it’s first set of events, kicking off Friday night with Larry The Cable Guy, then Saturday Chris Young took the stage, followed by a hyped up pool party hosted by DJ James Kennedy.

I was able to make it out to see Chris Young, and this has to be one of West Michgian’s most unique entertainment spaces. When it’s not hosting concerts, you’ll be able to swim and enjoy the oasis which features a 21+ Pool and a family friendly all ages pool.

You do sit around the empty pool while shows are happening, and maybe I’m just dreaming: but wouldn’t it be cool to be able to watch a show from this pool too?

When they’re hosting events, the middle of the area turns into a seated venue, able to host up to 500 guests, making it a fairly intimate experience if you can catch tickets before they sell out.

The bar was nice, and they sold canned drinks via drink tickets, making it easy just to purchase tickets to start, and walk up and grab a drink without a long wait.

The sound is great, the vibes are one of a kind, and it truly feels like a first of its kind venue for the area.  I look forward to seeing what else Gun Lake Casino brings to town in the ever-evolving landscape of entertainment keeps growing in our area.
