Hi, I’m Steve and I’m a new Dad who has learned a lot of things over the last several months and I want to pass along some knowledge to you!

Each week I will be giving you some new tips for first-time parents and one spectacular Dad joke!  So let's get to the tips!

  1. Today’s first daddy tip is a warning for babies and toddlers on Halloween. Don’t wear a mask! Young kids hate masks! I hated masks as a little kid, my wife Brittainy hated masks as a little kid, and Charlotte hates masks. We had to see what she would do when I put on a mask but I instantly regretted it. The poor baby girl was balling her eyes out faster than she can eat a bowl of mashed potatoes. And we all know how fast that is!
  2. The next daddy tip is to get yourself the Chatterbox App for your phone. It’s an app that takes photos and turns them into animations so it looks like the picture is talking. I’ve been using it lately to make some pretty hilarious videos with pictures of baby Charlotte and Fish’s wife. Hmmm… That sounded a little weird. Anyway… You can get a free version and it’s awesome to make your little baby into a talking machine. And so this doesn’t sound like an add for Chatterbox, there are dozens of other apps that do the same thing that has free versions as well. You should go check out the video I made of baby Charlotte with the app on MIX957GR.com right now!
  3. And the final daddy tip has to do with proper oral hygiene. So, no one ever told us that we should have been brushing Charlotte’s teeth already. Like what the heck? Isn’t that something people should tell first-time parents. Well, now we know that you can start brushing your baby’s teeth even before they come in! When your baby is first starting to cut a tooth, you can use a soft washcloth to rub their gums and when the teeth come in you can use a soft brush to brush their teeth. Your little one will probably even enjoy it, Charlotte does. Just be sure to ask a dentist or your pediatrician before you use toothpaste. Just a wet brush or washcloth works perfectly to start.

And now it’s time for an extra spooky Halloween Dad Joke!

Q: Why did the ghost take his new girlfriend to his hometown?
A: He wanted his boo to see his old haunts!

HAHA! Get it? That one had 2 punchlines. Because ghosts say boo and they haunt things. Classic!
