TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
How did you get that scar?

  • When I was 12 I built a little trailer to pull behind my bike. One day I could not find a piece of rope so I used a 6 ft bungee cord. I went up and around my neighbor's driveway the trailer got caught on the basketball hoop I went down their driveway and something snapped me in the leg. I grabbed the bungee cord not realizing the hook actually hooked into the back of my calf. so when I yanked on the bungee cord it ripped about a 4 inch hole in the back of my calf. Out of the 18 times I've had stitches that was the worst.
  • I was celebrating a coworker, got kicked out of the bar, while being driven home we had to stop for "air" (I was sick). When I was getting out I fell and my forehead caught my fall on the curb. Left a nice scar, but only visible when I'm tan.
  • I have a very large scar on my knee. it is from them having to slice it open to put my tibia plateau back together. I had a car accident almost 20 years ago and I had 26 breaks in six bones.
  • This scar? I want to tell people bar fight from a broken beer bottle but it's boring – thyroidectomy
  • My cousin opened the house door and flipped me down cement steps and cracked open my forehead. Before it healed my brother threw a log and it landed on my head and re-split it open. And again before it all healed I was gonna be the first person out of the car, I opened the door and my mom hit the curb and sent me flying out on my head again. Haha
  • 8 different large tumors have been removed, 2 knee scopes, a total knee replacement, Gulbladder removed, a c-section, and 2 cysts that had to be surgically removed. I knelt down in a tent which made my knee hurt so I stood back up and a razor fell out of my knee. I played hide n seek in the dark, I leaned back to hide and hit the back of my head on a nail head, had a glass faced clock fall and land on my head, and stepped on a large piece of glass in sand and sliced open the bottom of my foot. I have enough scars for 10 people! Lol
  • When I was around 3-4 we were sledding down a hill in the neighborhood and neighbor boy ran over my sled with his metal rail sled and sliced me open right under my right eye! Babysitter put a butterfly bandage on it M&D got home and rushed me to the doctor's office. Still remember getting those stitches 48 years later
  • That "cute simple" I have is a scar under my left eye from chasing a neighbor boy down the hallway and as they shut the door, it caught my cheek. Freaked the holy H out of their mom as I bled all over waiting for my mom to run down to their house The boys still comment about their grounding for giving me a cute dimple. I'm the blonde in the pic.
  • Well I have a scar and a permanent indent on the back of my right calf. My ex husband (husband at the time) was working on our 4 wheeler trailer. One side was on blocks and seemed stable. • Got a nice ugly one running down my right shin. A surgery. They cracked my shin off and bolted it down in another spot so that my knee cap would stop pulling the joint out of alignment. I would roll my ankles and have them sprained like three or four times a year all through high school because I played volleyball and basketball and ran cross country. So after I graduated and I was no longer participating in sports and walking was rolling my ankle, I had it repaired. It has like a 3 inch incision line but the scar doesn't look that weird, but if you feel it, you can feel the permanent stitches where the tendons were sewn to the ankle and it feels like rivets. It definitely grosses people out.

  • I have an indent in my shin bone from falling off and then underneath my horse as a teenager. She did her best to avoid me but ended up stepping on my leg causing a dime sized indent from where a chip in her hoof impacted the bone. Oddly, it kind of looks like a wonky shaped horseshoe.

He said his bones were sticking out of his skin. Not so impressive. Lol The only scar I have is a cigarette burn on my face from when I was 3 or 4, it's about an inch under my eye. • I have about a 6 inch scar down the inside of my right arm which looks like an enormous caterpillar. When I was a child my brother and I were playing tag with the babysitter in and outside of the house. I went to push the door open and my arm went straight through the plate glass window on the door. As I pulled my arm back, I sliced my arm on the broken glass from my palm to my elbow, a deep gash just missing everything important. I never saw that babysitter again. I think I actually emotionally scarred her for life.
  • TQOTD: I have a couple scars, but two of them are odd and large. I have a thin scar from the corner of my mouth across my cheek. It’s from my dog who accidentally split my cheek with his claw while we were playing, but when people ask, I immediately go into a Joker mode. “My Father was a drunker....” The other scar is from a surgery in high school. It’s on my left upper arm and it’s about an inch wide and 2 inches long. I had to have pins put in near my shoulder to reconnect my arm. But the story I tell to mess with people is a bar fight gone wrong that I won, but ended up with a glass chunk stuck in there.

  • How did you get that scar? Well I have a few, but I have a recent one that is about 8' long and goes from my shoulder and down my arm. It came from having a mole removed. The mole was melanoma and was slightly larger than a dime and had to cut so much out to make sure they got it all. But... I tell people that I got it back when I worked at the bar. A guy was arguing with his girlfriend and I stepped in to break it up. That's when the guy drew a knife and got me before I took him down.
  • Much more exciting this one. HAHA
  • How did I get my scar? It's on my upper arm...we were having a bonfire cooking hobo pies. My brother thought it would be funny to hold the hobo maker close to my arm like he was going to get me with it. (This was right after he had just made a hobo) I jerked back and the hobo maker searing into my tan. I watched the tan peel off with the burning hot metal. Good thing I was pleasantly buzzed!

I ruined all two hundred chickens in the freezer but I did actually turn the saw off before stepping out of the freezer. Done remember my walk from the saw to the door of the freezer. My manager turned a pasty grey color when I can into her view. The two girls that she was training that morning quit on the spot.
