Being an adult is hard. But, why? Tell us.

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
In your opinion what are the WORST things about Adulting???

  • To me, the worst part of adulting is realizing life can be taken from us at any given moment...so trying to live your best life while all these curveballs are tossed at you is a challenge in itself.
  • The worst things about adulting, in no particular order: 1. Having to go to work for money (Lame) 2. Having to be responsible ALL the time (Lame) 3. Having to wear grown up clothes(Not getting a jammy day) (Super Lame) 4. Having to buy insurance (Lame but necessary, I guess) 5. Hangovers (Lame) 6. Always having to make the "right" choice (Wiggity Wack) 7. Being part of the adult population when a lot of the adults have their heads in their arses 8. Paying bills (LAME!) 9. Getting mom shamed when your 6 year old accidently uses profanity properly. (It was funny)
  • The word "adulting" is the worst thing about being an adult, having to hear it/read it all the time. Ugh!
  • Working, grocery shopping, paying bills, making decisions for your children, hoping for good outcomes, colonoscopies, mammos, needing readers & aches & pains.
  • remember when I couldn't wait to grow up and have my freedom (no rules set by my parents), unfortunately being an adult may have its freedoms but at the same time you have to pay for your freedoms.. bills, mortgages, your time to go to work to pay for freedoms you don't even really get because you are always working. Some days I really kick myself for saying "I can't wait until I get older"... it's not all that it is cracked up to be. What can I say though? I am thankful for my life anyways.. would be nice to not have to pay bills though.
  • Being responsible for the freaking bills - ALL OF THEM. It's a good thing I dont dwell on how much everything costs or I'd croak.
  • Moments when slacking like a teen are so tempting but the responsibilities of being a parent can’t be ignored!
  • Waking up with a hangover and realizing you didn’t drink this is just how it feels when you wake up now
  • The nonstop responsibilities and boredom taking care of all of them!!!!!
  • Get up, get kids up, go to work, go home, make dinner, go to bed repeat.. 5 days a week
  • Working all week... then you get excited for the weekend but you just end up doing chores and all the crap you couldn’t do during the week because you were working!
  • Paying bills....having to make sure the money is there and gets to where it’s supposed to be at on time
  • Bills! And dealing with humans.
  • The older we get so does everyone else. You start to see and experience a lot more sadness. Sicknesses, world problems, Caner, death etc...
  • The heartbreak of your child’s illness.
  • Work all week just to pay your whole check on bills.Have to decide what everyone wants to eat.Being a stay at home mom, never any money to do anything fun.
  • Being the responsible one ALL OF THE TIME!
  • your parents she and the role reversal that goes with it.
  • Having to make hard decision ( doing the right thing even when you don't want to)
  • Work, bills, kids, “WHAT’S FOR DINNER!!”
  • The worst working hard taking bs on your job and being broke after your check hits your account. Bills bills go away
  • Dinner planning. And making sure those dinners are nutritiously responsible but also delicious. #possiblebutnevereasy
  • I want to tell my boss how I really feel about him but I have to be "responsible" and keep my job lol
  • Having to go to work everyday and not being able to take random sick days and binge watch Netflix and eat garbage
  • Realizing I have to work for the rest of my life.
  • All of it, but being able to buy beer!
  • Being a stay@ home mom and getting sick dam it no sick days!!!!
  • Bills, bills and more bills!
  • Working hard all week only to have your money disappear in seconds.
  • To me it’s paying a mortgage and taxes! It sucks at times but it has to be done!
  • Bills...taxes... fixing things in the house...
  • Watching your adult kids make horrible choices and knowing theres nothing you can do about it.
  • Searching for good car insurance rates. It's the worst
  • Realizing the house doesn't automatically clean itself.
  • Bills, Taxes and insurance.
  • Bills and cleaning
  • Having to decide what to eat at EVERY meal!
  • Losing my parents.
  • Working 40+ hrs/wk for little money!
  • Being expected to be ok every single day
  • Bills. Not being able to sleep all day or run around in our undies lol
  • Having to wake up & do things when u don’t want to
  • Acting like a grown up. Overrated.
  • PAYING BILLS 1,000%
  • Get paid and give it all away. Lol
  • People that don't follow directions.....
  • Deciding what’s for dinner and actually having to cook it every night.
  • Question of the day, I could go on and on, but I'm very immature. I don't like when people tell me to grow up And my boss is very bossy, uggg my life.
  • Worst thing about adulting is paying bills and not being able to call in just because I'm not programmed that way. Responsibility... Am I right. Gah.
  • The worst thing about Adulting is having to go to work every day and pay bills
  • Worst thing about adulting is having to pay bills after which there's not much left over just to work your butt off to do it all again... Brother in pain
  • The worst part about adulting?... Financial responsibility! Also, the slow descent into age induced cynicism and waking up in the night pee... Just let me sleep body!!!
  • I hate having to cook for myself and going to the grocery store. I miss when my mom would just do it.
  • Seriously almost everything. Think about it when you were a kid you were like royalty...someone fed you, bathed you, did all of the chores and paid all the bills lol
  • Text question of the day: Worst part about adulting is realizing how expensive groceries are, especially if you want to eat healthy
  • TQOD: the worst part of adulting is having to make my own dinner. If I could eat out everyday and not end up on My 600lb life than I would
  • My metabolism.
  • TQOTD: Having to take my turn as the designated driver really sucks. When I was younger I always had a DD... I never was the DD. Also, what sucks is people look at me funny when I hop on my nieces Pogo stick or cut in front of a the kids when I take a turn on the slip and slide
  • Probably the worst thing about being an adult is deciding whether or not you're going to have cake before dinner or afterwards. Kids don't often get that decision, but it's such a struggle to choose that it's ruined my life.
  • I have the knowledge, will power, energy, and money to accomplish pretty much all of my dreams or hobbies. I can build a gaming computer to rival the gods. I can fill a library with my favorite books and read them all. I can cook hundreds of cupcakes and pies. But I don't have the time for any of that. I need to work. I need to attend my social responsibilities. I need to do my chores, get my sleep, go to the gym. In a good day I'm lucky if I get 3 hours to myself, and of those 3 I'm usually too frazzled to focus.
  • Groups of teenagers scare me now. Like, why are you hanging out in a parking lot after dark?
