A woman in Kent County recently became a millionaire after purchasing a lottery ticket that she wasn't even planning on buying.

The woman, who has chosen to remain anonymous, wanted to buy her usual game, but the store didn't have it.

Instead, she bought the Wild Cherry game.

After playing the game, she scanned her ticket and thought she had won $10,000, which would be amazing.

However, it turned out she had won much more.

“I gave the ticket back to the clerk and had her check it. She helped me scratch the rest of it off, and when she saw I had hit $1 million, she screamed: ‘She just won $1 million!'”

The woman ended up taking the one-time lump sum payment of $693,000, instead of annuity payments for the full $1 million.

She is going to use her winnings to buy a home and will save the rest.
