Michiganders Watch An Average Of 3 Hours Of TV A Day
The average person loves their TV. Think about it, you set up an entire room around your TV, you have TVs in many different rooms, and you can watch TV on your phone.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg. If you think about it, you will realize that TV kinda dominates your life. And that's verified by a recent study that was done by Verizon. They found the average time spent watching TV in each state and what their favorite genre of show is to watch.
On average, Michiganders spend 3 hours, 2 minutes, and 22 seconds watching TV each day. And what are we watching? Michigan's number one most watched genre is the sitcom.
Watching 3 hours of TV a day equates to:
- 21 hours a week
- About 84 hours a month
- 1,092 hours a year
- 85,176 hours in an average person's lifetime
- That's 3,549 days of your life
- That's 9.7 years of your life
That might seem like a lot, but not compared to West Virginia, which watches the most TV in the nation. They watch a whopping 4 hours, 30 minutes and 54 seconds of TV a day. WOW! Oh, and West Virginia's favorite genre is the soap opera.
