It's not often that the Michigan State Police get called upon to locate and rescue someone or something with a famous name, but that's exactly what happened in Oakland County this week.

Michigan State Police Called to Help Locate Dolly Parton

Michigan State Police troopers were called to a house in Holly Township after the homeowners discovered that their miniature donkey, Dolly Parton, had gotten out of her pasture and wandered off.

The troopers, alongside the residents, canvassed the area surrounding the home and thankfully were able to find her taking a leisurely walk down a road. The troopers corralled her and were able to return her to her owners. Thankfully, she was unharmed on her adventure.

In a post on X, the Michigan State Police Second District said that they are no strangers to helping find and/or rescue animals.

In the past, they've located a missing dog named Potato, corralled cows that were walking along I-75, and now they can say that they've rescued Dolly Parton.
