New Holland Brewing Debuts Low-Cal, Low Carb Beer
If you're a beer lover but not so much a lover of the calories it packs, New Holland Brewing has rolled out a beer just for you.
As of March 1, Lightpoint Functional White Ale is officially available in 43 states. New Holland describes it as an "active pursuits" beer.
Designed to provide a refreshing and responsible post-pursuit experience, uncompromising in flavor...
The flavor consists of coconut water, orange peel, and raw honey and is actually brewed with water straight from Lake Michigan.
Lightpoint is 86 calories and 2 grams of carbs and is meant to be enjoyed after a bike ride, hike, run, or some type of physical activity. And for those of us whose physical activity consists of going from the couch to the fridge to grab the beer.
To celebrate their new beer, New Holland Brewing will be hosting a Lightpoint 5K fun-run on March 28 at The Knickerbocker.. Participants will end the run in the brewery's beer garden with food and games. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prices will also be given out. If interested, you can get registered here.
Lightpoint is also available for purchase at grocery stores in 6- and 12-pack cans.
