After Months of Waiting, Kentwood’s Raising Cane’s Sets Opening Day

If you’ve driven by the new Raising Cane’s on 28th Street in Kentwood lately, you know it looks just about ready to open its doors.

The bright red sign is up, the drive-thru lanes are constructed with fans carefully hung, and it’s been teasing us long enough. West Michigan has been patiently waiting for its first taste of that addictive, life-changing Cane’s sauce and we’re almost there.

When I went to the grand opening for the Lansing Raising Cane’s a couple of years ago, it was a full-on celebration. They had giveaways and it drew a massive crowd, and if Kentwood’s opening is anything like that one, it’s going to be one of the biggest food events of the year.

While those details haven’t been released yet, Cane’s fans should expect some fun surprises once the restaurant opens.

So, when can we finally get our hands on those golden chicken fingers? Mark your calendars: According to a statement from the company, Raising Cane’s will officially open on Tuesday, November 18th.

It’s been a long wait for West Michigan’s first Raising Cane’s, but soon we’ll all get to experience what fans across the country have been raving about.

And as one of their loyal fans that is a West Michigan transplant, it’s going to make dealing with 28th street traffic just a little sweeter when you can do it with some tendies and a sweet tea in your cupholder.
