After 17 people have reported getting sick, ALDI is recalling their all-purpose flour.

According to CDC, the flour may be contaminated with E. coli and illnesses were reported in 8 states between December 11, 2018 to April 18, 2019. Of those 17, three were hospitalized.

The recall only affects the Baker’s Corner 5-pound bag. However, the FDA is continuing their investigation to make sure no other flour brands were affected.  People are asked to throw away the flour or return it to the store for a refund.

While Michigan isn't one of the eight states listed, it never hurts to be on the safer side. The eight states are: Connecticut, Delaware, Massachussetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and West Virginia.

Symptoms of E. coli include stomach aches, bloody diarrhea, and vomiting. Most people usually get better within a week.
