This weekend is Record Store Day, and in West Michigan you have some awesome options on where you can try to get this year's exclusive vinyl releases.

Record Store day is Christmas for music collectors, with artists releasing special pressings of albums exclusively at local record stores across the country. Some of the most anticipated releases this year include Charlie XCX, Taylor Swift, David Bowie, The Grateful Dead, and even a Cyprus Hill live album that was recorded in Detroit at the Fillmore.

Ice cream season! All of the Ice Cream Stands in WM and their opening days ⬇️

No matter what you're looking for, the hunt is half of the fun. So why not join one of the celebrations, and give back to our local record stores in Grand Rapids and beyond, by attending one of these events on Saturday.

Corner Record Shop
2982 28th St. SW, Grandville

Arguably my favorite Record Store Day celebration, not only because of their huge selection and organization. But, because they offer free pop and chili dogs while they last to anyone who comes out. And I'll be honest, those dogs slap when you find that perfect record along with it.

Black Dog Books and Records
959 Fulton Street, Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids' newest record store is doubling their Record Store Day celebration as a one year anniversary party as well!

Vertigo Music
129 Division Ave S, Grand Rapids

Vertigo is mixing their RSD selection in with their regular inventory, making the hunt even more fun. However, if you swipe on the post above you can see what records you will be able to find if you're on the hunt for something specific.

Vinyl Alchemy

This Eastown record store is celebrating with ticket giveaways and by celebrating their neighbors nearby, Basalt (who are having their final weekend service) and The Pita House.

Good luck, and happy hunting on Saturday, April 12th!
