Road Closures/Precautions Announced for Trump’s Visit to West Michigan September 27
Former President Donald Trump will make a campaign stop in West Michigan Friday, September 27.
Trump is expected to make remarks at Falk Productions on Northridge Drive NW at 2 p.m. Doors for the event open at 11 a.m.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
On Thursday, the Walker Police Department took to social media to inform the public about traffic issues, road closures, and precautions they may encounter due to the campaign stop.
It's important to note that if you are planning to attend, you can not simply walk, bike, or drive in. Attendees are advised that the only way to get in and out of the event is what has been communicated to ticket holders. Those who attempt to show up in any other fashion will be turned away by police.
Walker PD advises that Bristol Ave. between 3 & 4 Mile roads will be closed from approximately 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday. In addition, Northridge will be closed between Shipper's Drive and Bristol from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Police also warn that there will be temporary road closures as the motorcade arrives and leaves.
Parents are advised that school bus routes will run normally, but the afternoon buses may be delayed due to traffic and road closures.
If you live within the closure area, you will be contacted with further details.
This is Trump's second visit to West Michigan this election cycle.
