Sault Ste. Marie Restaurant Now Serving a ‘Border Wall Pizza’
In case you weren't aware, there's been a bit of tension between the United States and our neighbors to the north in Canada.
And a Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, restaurant has used that as inspiration for their newest pizza offering.

They describe their newest pizza creation as "a deliciously fun challenge". And in a way, this pizza truly shows what compromise is all about.
Border Wall Pizza Offered at Sault Ste. Marie Restaurant
The pizza is the creation of Gino's Fired Up Kitchen which sits very, very, close to the border between the U.S. and Canada on the Canadian side, just a little over six miles from where the International Bridge starts on the Sault, Michigan side.
What's on it? Well, that's entirely up to you. This pizza features two sides (a U.S. side and a Canadian side) with a "wall" of mozzarella sticks down the middle. The ordering instructions simply tell you to choose one topping for the Canadian side and one for the U.S. side, easy-peasy.
They say that the pizza is available for a limited time, "while tariff threats last."
The comments on social media have many offering up suggestions for what should go on either side of the pizza (and, surprisingly, not all of them are political.)
One commenter suggested adding a drizzle of maple syrup. A surprising number of people commented that the Canadian side should have pineapple. (Is pineapple on pizza a very Canadian thing?)

Another commenter put in a tasty-sounding suggestion for the Canadian side:
The Canada pizza should be butter chicken or Tikka Massala. - Jean-François Verville via Facebook
The comments about the American side weren't, shall we say, as productive? It seems our neighbors to the north are pretty miffed, so they suggested things such as nuts, and bologna.
Another commenter suggested that the U.S. side should be topped with "Cheetos and bulls**t." And another suggested that antacids and magic mushrooms should be the toppings of choice for the U.S.

But, another Canadian pizza joint, Romilano Pizza in British Columbia, chimed in and said what I was thinking.
This pizza is so good, it could unite nations. Or at least cravings.
And that's all we can really hope for, isn't it?
