Jeffrey Lucas is back behind bars after being arrested in Florida. The man who was referred to as the "Sweetheart Swindler" met as many as eight women online, started a dating relationship in person, and then scammed each of the women out of money based upon a variety of lies. He was arrested, bonded out, and then did not appear for his next scheduled court hearing.

A fight over a ham sandwich quickly escalated and led to the arrest of a Hastings man late last month.

A Grand Rapids man is behind bars this morning after holding police at bay outside his house at 1417 Alpine Avenue NW on Wednesday. At first, police were informed that 41-year old Robert Corbett was holding his girlfriend against her will in the attic of the house.  He later let her go, but refused to surrender himself over to police.
