For several weeks, we asked you to submit your favorite sandwich recipes for a chance to be The Bistro at The Courtyard by Marriott's 2018 Grandwich entry.  After working with The Bistro's head Chef, James, we narrowed the field down to the top 3 and last night we tried the finalists.

The 3 finalists were the Connie and Fish Haaaaamm-Burger, the Southwest Club, and the Crusty Brie and Ham Sandwich.

After MUCH deliberation, we decided that the Connie and Fish Haaaaamm-Burger was the winner!

Congratulations to Derek, who submitted the recipe:

  • 90% lean burger cooked medium, topped with provolone cheese and two pieces of thick cut hardwood smoked bacon.
  • The burger is on a Pretzel Bun with a healthy smear of creamy peanut butter on the bottom and on the top bun is a spread of jalapeno pear jelly. And that's it!

The Grandwich Competition runs from July 5th through July 20th and the winning restaurant wins "a marketing package valued at $1,200 AND best sandwich bragging rights!"
