The Weather Channel gets hit with malicious software and goes off the air.

According to CNN, Thursday morning a software attack on the Weather Channel had the station off the air across their entire network.

The attack began early Thursday morning just before the network's morning show, AMHQ, were set to go on air at 6 a.m. Viewers wound up seeing a pre-taped show of Heavy Rescue: 401.

The network has contacted the federal government who has their law enforcement team investigating the root of the problem.
