Hi, I’m Steve and I’m a new Dad who has learned a lot of things over the last several months and I want to pass along some knowledge to you!

Each week I will be giving you some new tips for first-time parents and one spectacular Dad joke!  So let's get to the tips!

  1. Today’s first daddy tip is something that we picked up while driving around the state on vacation last week.  You have to feed your baby while you are on the road, but sometimes it’s dang near impossible to warm up a bottle.  That’s when Britt came up with the idea of just heating up some water before we left and putting it in our travel coffee mug.  It is so much freaking easier than asking random people if they have a bowl of hot water to warm up a bottle in. But then again, it’s always funny to ask a bartender for two shots of fireball and a bowl of water.
  2. The next daddy tip also has to do with long road trips with your baby.  Be ready for one of two things to happen while you are on the road. Number one could be that your baby is fussy and uncomfortable the entire ride.  That only happened to use once and we made it all better by pulling over and Britt climbing in the back seat to play with Charlotte. The other thing that can happen is they sleep for the whole car ride and then they stay up all night.  I don’t really know the solution to that problem, so if you do, text in what you do right now to 616-7708-95-7.
  3. The final daddy tip is to make all sorts of funny, serious, normal, and weird faces to your baby. First off, faces like frowns, smiles, a shocked look, and a concerned look help children develop and understand body language cues and emotional cues.  And secondly, making weird and funny faces is hilarious because you get to watch their reactions and sometimes they even try to imitate you! Plus, who doesn’t like making funny faces? Go ahead, try it now. If you are at a stop light, turn to the person next to you and make the funniest face you can!  Good times for all!

And now time for an awesome dad joke!

I’d like to take this time to give a huge shout out to all of the sidewalks out there.
Why, you ask?  Because they keep me off the streets!
