Steve wanted to be a rocket scientist when he was younger and it just didn’t work out. Christine wanted to be a pediatrician and that didn’t work out. I really did want to move to Hollywood and direct and produce movies, that also didn’t work out. We both are all very happy with what we are doing now though so we are lucky there. I will say this if I was thinking of doing something else for a living I would for sure read some of your answers. AWESOME!!!

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:

  • I know I didn't want to be fat and tired, that's for sure ‍♀️
  • Marine Biologist living in Hawaii. Now a Speech Pathologist.
  • I wanted to be a choreographer. I’m in property management. I love my job so I’m happy.
  • My mom thought I’d be a meteorologist because I was always watching the weather channel. I wanted to be a paleontologist and would pretend dig up dinosaur bones in the driveway. I am now a laboratory manager.
  • I wanted to be a car wash man and now I engineer cars.
  • Astronaut now I do FBI background checks.
  • I always wanted to be a mortician but now I manage a private duty home care and a small Adult Foster Care home. Not the most pleased with my life choices but aboso-freaking-lutely love my job right now. Love you all!!
  • Wanted - Ambassador. What I am - HCA/Paraprofessional
  • When I was really little I wanted to be a vet to take care of all the animals, but them I learned about euthanasia and noped that idea. Then I wanted to be a photographer with hopes of working for either rolling stone or national geographic. Now? I'm a stay home mom and running a fledgling crochet business.
  • When I was little I wanted to be a ballerina and now I'm going to school for Human Resources

  • I wanted to be an auto mechanic and I was for 5+ years but now I am a water well driller and I wouldn’t change a thing. I love my job!
  • OB nurse…. I’m a stylist. Coincidentally though I have a special needs kiddo that requires “nursing” so I ended up still having that aspect of my life fulfilled.
  • Wanted to be a homicide detective and now I work in shipping and receiving even went to school and got a degree in law enforcement
  • Heart surgeon and now I do heart ultrasounds but for a fraction of what the cardiologists make

  • Wanted to work on a technology team at a large hospital. Worked in healthcare for 10 years and turned down opportunities to apply for several tech jobs. Turned them all down. Currently I manage a custom lego business and couldn’t be happier.
  • Pediatrician vs sahm of 3 special needs kids...using my nursing training every single day.
  • Interior Designer vs VP, HR - ya I made the right move!
  • I wanted to be a nurse or teacher. I was a medical assistant for 10 years til covid, realized the risk isn't worth the pay and still work in healthcare and make more doing less. Same patient interactions that I love, but less risk to my health.
  • I wanted to be a teacher and yes and no i'm not but I am lol I kinda thought I would have married earlier in life and had a larger family but I love my little family that I have now (three of us)
  • Growing up I always wanted to be an Astronaut. More specifically a pilot of the Space Shuttle. But, I had too many medical conditions to be a pilot. Nobody trusts the guy with Turrets to get them home safely! Now I am a jack of all trades, master of none. I’m actually very happy being a “maintenance technician “ for a large company.
