Connie said Jackson, Mississippi, Fish said Toledo, Ohio, and Steve said Breezewood, Pennsylvania.  What is that nasty city you've been to?

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What is the worst city you have ever visited and why?

  • Can I just say NJ....because it's NJ!
  • (Here is a reply to the comment about NJ on our Facebook page) Where in NJ did you visit? My state does certainly have its troubles, but there are some absolutely beautiful areas as well; with warm, wonderful people.
  • (Here is another reply to the comment about NJ on our Facebook page) If you don't know where you are going, New Jersey can be totally overwhelming. There is staggering beauty if you know where to find it, and a friend you make in Jersey is a friend for life. If you are in for a quick bit of business it can be all turnpike and refineries.
  • #TQOTD The worst city I ever visited was Seattle. I don't understand why the frog a flight from Tampa, FL to Grand Rapids made a freaking connection in Seattle, but it was miserable. The plane from Tampa was late, which means we had to sit in Seattle for like three hours for the next flight out to Grand Rapids. I was coming back from a last minute, 48-hour trip to say goodbye to my dying great grandmother and I just wanted to go home.
  • Orlando......litter everywhere and people drive WAY too fast!!!!
  • #TQOTD Stockton, CA is an absolute pit!!! Not only is the entire city dry and rust-colored, but there is literally NOTHING to do in that city. Nothing there but chain restaurants and a prison. Oh, and did I mention that my hotel room got broken into while I was staying in the area? Further, my car got broken into a few months later. What the heck?! I will say that I've never had better Thai food from anywhere else in the US. Still, Stockton sucks. Love, Anna
  • I'd have to say the worst city I've visited would be Chicago!! Those people will not pay attention to anyone else but themselves. They will cut you off, walk out in front of your car without looking and drive to fast with all the traffic. But it is a nice place to see!!!
  • Gary Indiana is the worst city I've ever been to. I have family in Chicago and drove there and had to pass through Gary every time. That place is nothing but old cesspools. There are a bunch of factories old and working.during the day the fumes and flames from the factory are always constantly in the air and it looks like the fires from Mount Mordor from The Lord of the rings as soon as you get close to Gary you can smell it. Their slogan should be Gary Indiana the city of fumes and disappointment
  • CLEVELAND, OH! I was with someone that lived there for a few years, and even with them bringing us to the "best" places it just seemed dirty and boring. Not to mention every service industry person we came in contact with seemed like they hated their jobs and were rude. Cleveland does NOT rock...
  • #TQOTD worst city I visited was Gary, Indiana. Our Garmin took us downtown on our trip to Louisville. You know you're in a shady neighborhood when the gas pumps have padlocks on them and you have to walk in to prepay in a gas station that smells of Act10.
  • I have to agree with fish Toledo was awful I went there as a kid to go to the zoo and it was rude Deculus and one part of the town like you have gas stations with bars on the windows and you go a mile down the street headed be ritzy Hilton Hotels absolutely ridiculous I will never go there again unless I go to the zoo
  • The worst City I have ever been to is Sioux City Iowa. There is a reason why it is nicknamed sewer city. It smells like a sewer and is extremely dirty.
  • Hi Fish!! Am I allowed to say GR is the worst city I've ever been to? Lmao!! I'm not from here...I did 11 years in the military and have traveled the world. I moved here 4 years ago and made the decision to leave this year. I've met several great friends and friends who are now family. But it took us (me and Hubs) two years to make friends, it's more expensive to live here, the weather sucks, and the weather really sucks. But thank you for making my mornings a little better every day. I mean that!
  • Good morning to my favorite morning show friends... It's Jen from Hastings, your favorite Canadian listener! Tuscaloosa, Alabama sucks! It's like you go back in time and they still don't like northerners. I had to play my Canadian card so that I could be accepted. I lived there for 4 months and couldn't take it. I was there for the Bama/Auburn game. They would fill balloons with urine and just throw them at random people. Tuscaloosa is in the tornado belt and I wish it would just blow away. P.S. - Steve, Breezewood would have to be my 2nd worst!
  • Gary IN. SMELLY!!!
  • L.A. Lackluster, grungy, WAY TOO much hype and terrible traffic
  • Jacksonville North Carolina. Lived there for 8 years (military wife) and its nothing but strip clubs and tattoo shops and 18-year-old Marines who think they're badasses.
  • New Orleans!! It smells and I'm not really a drinker so the alcohol doesn't draw me in. My husband said the smell reminds him of Iraq!
  • Gary Indiana.  Stopped at McDonald's and got hair in all of my food.
  • I'm going to agree with Steve Martin and say Terre Haute, Indiana is one of the worst cities. The whole city is just trashy.
  • Text ? Of the day: All of the city's in Ohio. I can't pick just one. Ohio is the toilet bowl of the United States if you have ever been to any of the city's in Ohio you know what I'm talking about!! Especially Toledo, Sandusky, Cleveland, and Columbus.
  • Any City in Ohio. Because it's Ohio.
  • The worse city I've ever visited was Jackson mi because they never plow their roads
  • Oof the worst city I've ever visited was moose, Wyoming. Don't get me wrong, Wyoming is frogging GORGEOUS!!!!! But the town......... eh Not impressed. #wyoming #town....or city???? #love GR
  • Miami is the worst city I’ve ever visited. I went in July, it was soooo hot, rained every day, and the beaches were super dirty.
  • My town of Muskegon 😁😂😃
  • Worst city I've ever been to is Atlanta. It probably didn't help that we went THROUGH Atlanta during rush hour. Boy was that dumb!
  • Worst city, BELDING! Because there are lots of scum bag losers there and it is a filthy city. Only thing good there is the Wesco.
  • Hi Connie and Fish the worst town I have ever visited and lived for 3 years is Watertown NY. The reason why it's so bad is one it's an Army town and two there is absolutely nothing there. Also it's always cold there like Canada cold.
  • New Haven, CT. Everyone is so miserable there.
  • New York City. No pubic restrooms
  • The worst city is Gary, Indiana because it stinks when driving thru there.
  • Chicago. Do I need to explain? Construction construction.
  • Worst is city I ever visited was Pittsburgh. Because the people there are rude they don't make eye contact and the city was not clean. The only person that we liked in that city was from our hotel turns out he's from Grand Rapids.
  • LA was cool but it will forever be held in contempt in my mind because I suddenly became so horribly ill, had no idea why until later when we went up into the mountains and I looked back only to see the cloud of smog. The smog made me so nauseous I literally felt like I was going to die
  • Worst city... Orlando, FL.... we went on a cruise and Orlando was one of our overnight stops on our way to the ship. After 11 pm, we looked for a hotel for the night. One hotel we found was full so we left. As we left, a homeless guy chased us down the road for a while. We kept driving and the only hotel we could find was over [1]100 for us to be there about 6 hours total. No desire to ever go there again.
  • Worse city ever for me was Chicago. Most arrogant a-hole drivers. We were there for a family trip with our kids. We stopped at a light to turn left and pulled forward so when the light turned red we could go. As we tried to turn we got cut off by a big SUV. We proceeded through and then they cut us off again as they merged into the left alone at the next light and as they did it they yelled out Asshole. At that point, I had enough and yelled out the window thanks for being nice to tourists you A-hole. They quick pulled through the light and proceeded to park. I told the girlfriend oh great now they want to fight me. We proceeded through the turn and they quickly whipped out behind me and then we saw flashing lights. They were frogging municipal police and proceeded to intimidate me with my family in the car. After that, I said frog this city let's go home
  • The worse city I have ever been to was Indianapolis! I was robbed at gunpoint and my car was stolen (we thought).
  • I would say the worst place is Seattle, Washington does it ever stop raining there wow it was great to go to Omaha Nebraska good ole old market great food and shopping
  • Dennys here. Sorry, but Michigan is the crappiest state I've ever been in. Nice days turn to rain. Warm days turn cool. Perfect days get either swampy sticky. Yep, a crappy hole in the mid-east.
  • Morning!! Moved here from Colorado a couple of months ago, and I would have to say Grand Rapids is the worst place I visited. During the winter the only thing to do is to eat and drink.
  • The worst City I’ve ever been to was Coopersville, MI it smelled like poop, so bad that my family nicknamed it Poopersville.
  • Venice, Italy! The water is black and it stinks!!! I was so disappointed 😞
  • Worst city was Memphis TN. Specifically Elvis Presley Blvd Hotel. Elvis definitely left the building but he left the Browns in the pool and the roaches in the beds. So gross. Ended up sleeping in the back of our Jeep.
  • Paris France is the worst place I've ever been to outside of the United States. It was full of dogshit. And the people were jerks. I didn't stay there for very long.
Apache Junction Arizona we had 3 vehicles stolen off our trailer and we swear the police were involved, $80,000 worth of vehicles GONE never got any of it back insurance only covered $16,000
  • Denver, Co was the worst city. It smelled, the people were rude and I almost got pickpocketed. I went to eat and there were signs at the restaurant that warned about theft and instructed you to lock your car #QOD #Denver
  • The only good things from Ohio are Cedar point Smuckers and my wife
  • Worst City I ever visited... Maitland Florida. Why .. Well the first 12 hours there I was pulling into a gas station only to see a police officer with a gun pulled pointing at a driver in a car yelling GET OUT OF THE CAR NOW. only in Florida.
  • Columbus, OH I had to stay there for a weekend to help a friend discover if he wanted to live there...everyone there looks like they could star in “The Hills Have Eyes”...missing teeth, googley eyes, funky skin conditions...even the gay guys...whaaaaaat?!
  • Columbus. No explanation needed
  • The worst city I've ever spent time in was Killeen Texas. Lived there for 3 years and everyone is rude and the crime rate is through the roof. It's in the top 10 most dangerous cities in Texas. At least once a week someone was attempting to kidnap someone or break into someone's house. We had drug dealers living across from us.
  • Good Morning. :-) Decatur IL. Worst place I’ve ever been. They have a terrible zoo, which isn’t anything more than animals stuck in chain-link boxes. They have a MASSIVE cemetery for some reason, in which I found several weird ceremonies happening, including something to do with crystals and also a wedding. When we go there, we play a game called “abandoned, not abandoned” in which we try to guess if something is abandoned or not. This can apply to houses, vehicles, and children. More often than not, one assumes they are abandoned when they are not. And the smell!! There’s some sort of rendering plant there I think. Gary, IN has nothing on the smell of Decatur. It smells like someone ate some Cheetos, then threw them up, then took a dirty gym sock, put the throw up in the gym sock, buried it right next to a septic tank or 6 months (you know, to really absorb the essence), then took that gym sock, gave it a nice coating of Parmesan cheese, deep fried it in really old frying oil, and then put the sock next to an air vent that sends the smell out through the whole town but only using stale air from a decrepit 1960’s casino. Also, everyone stands on their porch and stares at you. Some openly brandishing their rifles. Did not like. Rate -20/10.
  • I think the worst city that I have ever visited was probably Lincoln Nebraska, it was just a very short live stop on a long trip out west, however there's really nothing to do except for like the telephone museum so there's not anything to do and the restaurant that we ate at had the worst food I've ever had in my life and I was super excited cuz it was like a greasy spoon but it was just not good
  • Gary Indiana.... because you can smell it!
  • The worst city I've ever been to is Holland. The people are so rude. Nobody knows how to drive. And yes I live here
  • Daytona Beach was really dirty
  • CHI FROGGING CAGO! We didn't even visit. We just drove through. Who the frog knew that they have a "business" and "local" loops on the highway! Major headache!
  • The worst city I've ever had the pleasure to visit was Hit, Iraq. From the unbelievable heat with no a/c, the obvious language barrier, everyone begging for anything and everything, the luxury sleeping arrangements, and the horrid smell of feces
  • worst city visited Addis Abba, Ethiopia. Very biblical city - Camel and donkey feces in the streets and for us humans ceramic pads to stand on,-and let it drop (in all the bars and public bathrooms in the streets.
  • #tqotd anywhere in Alabama cause everyone is related to everyone and it just scares me 😱 your moms your sister and your dads your uncle so nope no thanks #internsteve
  • My husband and I did an east coast road trip and went to Baltimore to see the aquarium. The whole town had an odor and was COVERED in trash.
  • We had to go to Chicago and there is bad construction so we detoured and ended up going to Gary Indiana that is terrible besides the smell it looks like a 3rd world country and at 1 point we saw a lady doll outside of a story with a 5 we still don't know what the 5 got you the doll or entry
  • Actually, the worst state I've ever been in is North Dakota. A bland landscape, -50° in winter, sweltering hot summers, 100.° The people are friendly, but that's about the only attraction!!!
  • Paris, France. Trash all over the streets. Rude people. They don't know how to drive. And there were literally people having balloon animal on the street in the middle of the day... just gross & a bad experience.
  • This one is for Steve. East Lansing on a Saturday. Lol. Can't we all just get along? Go Blue 😳
  • I moved to Pinellas Park for 2 years. It smells worse than the Grand River. The entire city! Think Coopersville,& Pierson because of the trash dump, and the Grand River all together throughout the whole city.
  • I went to Myrtle Beach for my honeymoon. I almost got stabbed on the boardwalk because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I got broken beer bottle glass in my foot in the hotel, the beach was dirty
  • Lima, Ohio is the worst! I agree with the comment Ohio is the toilet bowl of America. Lima literally smells like a toilet.
  • I actually lived in the worst city Concord NC everything moves sooooo slow...there is always construction and the race traffic and fans.....it's also called the Bible Belt so if you are doing something they see as wrong they look at you like your going to hell...
  • I'm from Ohio born and raised so I'm here to tell you from experience that all cities in Ohio sucks!!!
  • Hmmmmmm.....when I moved back to Michigan from Oregon, I was struck how rude drivers are in Grand Rapids.
  • Chicago. The city smelled like pee, no one smiles and it's SO expensive
  • New York was the worst place I ever visited I went there for a mission trip and was sitting on the steps of the Hilton, apparently some homeless man was peeing on the steps earlier and I didn't know about it and it had dripped down and as I was sitting there dripped onto my pants and soaked my butt, disgusting, so then we're riding the subway to get back to the church we're staying at and this girl gets on and throws up everywhere and puke is splashing up off the floor onto my legs and then when we're on our way back from this mission trip driving back one of our leaders found a cockroach, a little baby cockroach, so we had to borax all of our stuff, so disgusting
