What Is Your Favorite Free Activity?

West Michigan is full of fun stuff today and not all of it costs money. We wanted to put together a list of some cool stuff you can do around the area without having to spend a dime. So what did we do? We asked you to do our work for us and made it our #TQOTD.

What is your favorite FREE activity???

My favorite free activity here in Muskegon is going to the beach at Pere Marquette

Jeepin. More you play with it bigger it gets

Motorcycle ride. It's not the destination it's the journey

Free petting zoo with goats, camels, zebra and even reindeer. Great for kids

Kayaking like Lazy River drink in your hand kind of kayaking

Disc golf

Fishing with my husband is my favorite free past time

Go to cemeteries

#tqotd- I absolutely love volunteering! Lately, I've been volunteering for different festivals and events. This weekend I had a blast serving food at Yassou (Greek festival) in GR! Looking forward to Pulaski days in October and helping with monthly breakfasts at my favorite hall! These events are open to the public so getting a chance to work with, see and serve the community is so rewarding!!

TQOTD...visiting as many Lake Michigan towns and beaches as possible. There is something fabulous to enjoy at all of them no matter the season, endless trails to walk or hike and such beautiful scenery! #PureMichigan

Joshua; My favorite free activity is going frisbee golfing, there are so many frisbee golf courses in West Michigan to choose from and my kids absolutely love it!! You guys should try it!!!! Lol

#tqotd Hanging out at the dog beach in Muskegon with my dog. We make it an entire day affair. Got to use those nice summer days while we have them!

Kayaking down the river... especially with a group and some adult beverages

The Sunset... It's so pretty and peaceful.

Favorite free thing- Saturday Farmers Market or evening movies at the Park/Beach (Both can be done in Holland, where there is a Family Video 😂 )

My favorite free activity is tubing down the river, fun fact I used to tube down the Muskegon River in Big Rapids all the time and when we and my friends were all tied together one time we got stuck on one of the bridge pylons outside the Gypsy Nickel it was super embarrassing

I love to go antique shopping. My mom used to love walking thru cemeteries to read headstones

I love dancing like an idiot in my car

Coming from northern Michigan where the waters are crystal blue, swimming is always my favorite thing to do. However, now that we're here in Grand Rapids we love to go out to the observation area at the airport and watch the planes come in and take off... But we still love swimming

Team trivia anywhere or bingo at Hudsonville winery.

Walking the boardwalk and pier in Grand Haven and watching the sunset - especially now that the pier is open all the way to the lighthouse again.

My favorite free thing is walking around in downtowns (GR, Holland, Traverse City) and looking at unique and antique shops (aka window shopping)

Geocaching. Fun for the whole family

#TQOTD my favorite free activity is "brown chicken brown cow". Can't get much cleaner than that! 😜

Floating down the river !!!

My favorite free thing is to take a small piece of yarn and -- with a group of people sitting around a table -- try to blow the piece of yarn off the table on across from you. You will seriously nearly die from laughing so hard.
