What Makes You Lose Sleep And Why? – #TQOTD
Are you awake counting sheep all through the night and just can't seem to fall asleep? Well, how about you tell us why for today's Text Question of the Day.
TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What makes you lose sleep and why?
- For this week I'm losing sleep from getting up earlier every day to get ahead on my work so I don't have to work this weekend since I'm going with Connie, Fish & the clique of 6 to the Badger game. #gobadgers #jumparound
- I dont usually have issues going to sleep so, what prevents me from going to sleep? Closing my eyes. #InternSteve
- #tqotd I lose sleep over finances. My employees drama. Overanalyzing why someone is angry with me
- I miss out on a lot of sleep because I also have the apnea
- I was a server about five years ago in college and I still wake up in a panic some nights because I forgot table 5’s extra ranch
- My husbands snoring. He has the same disease that Fish has...the apnea! He forgets to put his mask on...I have seriously contemplated holding a pillow on his face, especially at 3am
- What makes me lose sleep?? Currently it is because I binged season 1 of American Horror Story!! Creepy! I'm such a wuss
- TQOTD.... my health. Losing one of your senses you have had your whole life is scary stuff people. Don't take any of them for granted. You don't realize how scary it is until it's you it's happening too. #Zzzquil
- As of late, I am having trouble shutting off my "work brain"; lots and lots of crises that are all important. I finally decided I will take something tonight to help me sleep, because I cannot afford to get sick. #hospicesocialworker
- Thoughts...so many thoughts. My brain apparently feels as though night time is the time for ALL of the random thoughts. And of course social media. It's 11:23pm and I have to be up at 5am...what am I doing? Answering the TQOTD. lol
- Bills and my one year old... baby likes to wake up 45 minutes before my alarm goes off ugh
- Enjoying a quiet clean house after a crazy day with my two toddlers! But it always backfires! If I stay up late they will be up extra early the next morning!
- My dad is sick with Lou gerricks. I am losing sleep wondering how much time I have left with him and how I can help . Feelings of helplessness.
- If I wake up in the middle of the night and my brain kicks on about work, I am doomed! Love my job, just not in the middle of the night. I’ve also been known to lie awake worrying about one of my girls and a decision they’ve made, especially when I can see the train wreck coming. Parenting is harder when they’re older.
- Nothing! I must say this is the one area I have truly been blessed with. Doesn't matter what's goin on in life or if I drank the whole pot of coffee after supper (instead of half like usual), I lay down and am out like a light within 10min- or so I've been told. I very very rarely wake up to pee and can sleep thru a tornado coming thru the house. Ironically, if there's a baby in the house, I'll wake up to the first little whimper! (Weird, I know!) I've often wondered if I have a touch of narcolepsy.
- We'll my husband is retired and stays up all night.he has hearing problems and I am a light sleeper that wakes up to everything.plus our bdrm is below our living room where the loud tv is.
- Honestly not much- unless it’s a really good book I’ve been looking forward to
- Pain. Has emergency surgery last Friday.
- Reading to finish a book, binge watching a series, our one-year old son, husband snoring!
- The thought of shelter animals never finding a home before they die. Because I’m very passionate about recusing animals.
- My own snoring.
- Nice weather.. I work thirds so when it is nice out I have a hard time going to bed
- My brain as I'm about to fall asleep decides it finally wants to try to remember something it couldn't remember weeks ago but takes the long way and remembers things that should have been already but can't be done now because it's too late at night to do it - like cut the grass - then back to trying to remember what you wanted to in the first place - it's an evil corcle
- 2 year old in my bed and 3 big fluffy dogs wanting outside 3 times a night. They are the reason I am awake right now.
- A new guy in my life :D
- As of late it seems like my brain kicks on every night. It’s more than likely due to my wedding coming up on Saturday but I haven’t slept well in days.
- Type 1 Diabetes...that crap is unpredictable at night!
- Kids, hubby, Bill's, work, mental list making, mindlessly dinking around on my phone or I actually start watching shows for myself and can't stop.
- My anxiety is usually the culprit but occasionally it’s because a book sucked me in and I have to finish the next chapter...or 4. Lol
- My cat releasing her inner demon, determined to keep us awake all night.
- Every. Thing. Oh the fans making a funny noise? Likely I'll wake up missing a foot because the fan fell from the ceiling...
- This guy when he hears stuff outside in the middle of the night or when my husband snores loud.
- A full time job then going to a part time job, can't shut down. Home too late #overworked
- Why do squirrels have funny looking ears? How many bears live in the midwest? (I am scared of bears) Can you read in your dreams? Stressing over political issues. And climate change. So basically everything.
- My 30 week year old kitten. She farts pretty much on our faces and it’s silent, but violent.
- Right now its between a baby thats 8 months and still refuses to sleep through the night and on top of that Ive started to watch Grey's Anatomy, and I'm officially sucked in guess I can sleep when I'm dead lol
- Nothing. I'll always sleep well
- My ducking cat! She runs and jumps on the bed like someone lit her britches on fire. She wants to play fetch , brings me her fake mice then continues to meow until I throw it.#firstcatever,#lastcatever!
- What else money and poor government in this country. Need to clean house is the states and DC
- I, worry about everyone and thing.
- My transplant medicines.
- Not a thing! I can sleep through anything!
- Hubby snoring!!! Then it’s too hot, too cold, throw the comforter off cover up he’s snoring again grrrrrr hot cold snoring hot cold snoring makes me want to SCREAM
- Teenage drivers, children’s health, the cost of college, and identity theft. I haven’t slept well in years.
- My dog just had to go potty.
- My 5yr old. She seems to think everyone should wake up at 2am
- Unresolved issues. The “never go to bed angry” thing is legit.
- My mind won't shut off! Or it could be the dog puking under the bed.
- Literally everything that's ever happened or bugged me in any way
- Anything and everything
- Not much since I'm narcoleptic lol
- My dog hogging the bed
- Stress usually makes me lose sleep.
- Stress.
- More like, what doesn't?
- Menopause
- I loose sleep because I have a 9 month old and I’m breastfeeding. At least I get six hours a night #winning
- Four month old twins … Because four month sleep regression and bed sharing with twins and a chubby husband

- The things that make me lose sleep are: going to school fulltime, working full time and 3 kids
- I literally lose sleep because I get anxious about losing sleep.
- The things that make me lose sleep are: going to school fulltime, working full time and 3 kids
- I can't sleep if I'm leaving on vacation the next day! Too excited!
- TQOTD: I have been losing sleep because of the meds I am on The Doctor told me I can start cutting back on them!!! OMG I hope this help!!! I want my ZZZZZ back!
- Why: Cause every scary movie ever made has taught us that’s scenarios where people get murdered, and it’s always just a prominent thought in my mind when staying in the country side which causes the lose of sleep.
- Hey there, Sitting here scrolling through my Facebook feed, I saw your post about losing sleep. You can probably tell, this issue is giving me grief right now. So I figured, hey - why not give y’all a shout. I have composed a list: 1) Money - went to college for 4 1/2 years, and still am 40,000 in debt. I’m working, but definitely not in the field I would like to be in. I had a great job, but screwed it up trying to find a job that pays more. The situation didn’t work out, so now I am temporarily working retail. It frustrates me, so the brain keeps manically chugging along, but I am still grateful for being employed. 2) Relationships - I have been in a committed relationship for a good chunk of time. We have discussed getting married and no moves have been made. I stress constantly about if this is really meant to be or if I’m wasting my time. 3) Friendships - I don’t have many. It’s definitely hard to branch out when your stressing about the past two notes I’ve listed. 4) Family - I feel we can all relate to that - things get stressful. Thank you for giving the option to reach out and share what’s causing the sleep struggle. It has given me a chance to let some frustrations out that I have kept in for a quite a while. Maybe this release will give me a chance to sleep tonight.
- I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week, and keep up the amazing work.
- What was keeping her awake at night was a big decision that she made to donate her kidney to a person from her hometown who's FB post she saw asking for help. She has the same blood type as the man who needs the kidney and she just submitted the paperwork to become a donor and reached out to him to see if they were a match.
- I can't sleep half the time because my husband bought a dog and she thinks she's human. We have a queen bed and I'm trying to convince the hubs we need a king size. I play fetch with Zoey the dog before bed in hopes she will zonk out in living room but 75% of the time she's between us by 3 a.m. my hubs loves it but I can't sleep. Coffee please!!
- My pet rat makes me lose sleep. He plays all night and scratches and bites on his cage most nights Ps. Does anyone want him?
- Working 14 hrs a day causes me to lose sleep!! Not to mention coming home and spending time with the kids taking them to dance and karate and finding time to eat!!! So its sleep that I sacrifice to spend time with the family!!
- TQOTD. Coughing. Coughing makes me lose sleep. I was up most the night with an annoying tickle in my throat and I'm exhausted. Oh, and my husband is still gone...you've been warned.
- TQOFTD-what keeps me from sleeping much at all is stress from losing my home, my father losing his job, and my cat that won't let me sleep.
- TQOTD: what makes me lose sleep and why?? My 14 year old hormonal teenage daughter.....need I say more??!!
- Like Fish, my giant 70 lbs pitbull has sleep apnea, so what makes me lose sleep is her snoring and forgetting to breathe in her sleep. She sleeps on my bed so it wakes me up.
