We all got problems, but they change drastically as you get older.  So we wanted to know what your big problem was when you were just a little person.  Connie's problem was having to come home and eat lunch while she was swimming.  Fish wanted to go play Star Wars, and Steve couldn't stay up all night playing computer games.

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What was your biggest problem when you were 11?

  • Having to shut off my bedside light and quit reading and go to sleep lol
going training bra shopping with my Mom.
  • #tqotd School. We moved and making new friends wasn't easy. Most at that age have grown up together. I got lots of practice because my parent's couldn't decide where they wanted to live. One year I changed schools 3 times!
  • What was my biggest problem when I was 11?? My BFF moved to Spring Lake and I was devastated. We did the best we could to stay in touch but phone calls were far and few between. Fast forward today... We have never been closer and we do everything together. I love my Jayne... Happy Tuesday ???
  • So 11 years old I was in probably 6 grade and I'd say my biggest problem was that I was the fat kid and I had a really hard time fitting in because I was still kind of new at that school
  • Grease and just come out and I couldn't go to the movies to see it
  • TQOTD...biggest problem I had when I was 11 was missing half the year being really sick and having to stay after school the rest of the year to catch up. Sadly I don't think I caught up with math ever, that problem followed me to this day. Lol!
  • #TQOTD Making friends at a new school.
  • When I was 11 I started dealing with the monthly issue of the female reproductive system and I had a jerk of a step-dad that started my hatred of doing dishes cause it was my only chore.
  • Mine was probably the note tv my brothers and sisters controlled that because they were younger than me
  • TQOTD- it was 1996 and my biggest problem was dial-up internet.
  • Text question of the day Having to come in when the street lights were on and we would be in the middle of a game
  • The girl that was my best friend decided she hated me overnight and proceeded to make the rest of the school year hell. FROG YOU, SHANNON
  • Rando texto Fish, I keep hearing about your childhood on banks lake in Greenville, I grew up with a cottage on Woodbeck. My parents since have built a home and reside there. Which brings me to the text question of the day. My biggest problem at 11 years old was when my parents needed a break from pulling kids tubing on the lake.
  • Going to bed at 9:00 in the summer and not being able to eat all the things others got to. Junk food.
  • Being uprooted from where I was born and raised and moved 2 hours away. And it was the summer I was started middle school, so talk about starting school with no friends a month later.
  • My biggest problem when I was 11... my family. My single-parent mom was bipolar, and a fiery, fierce redhead. My younger brother had no impulse control, oppositional defiant disorder and ADHD. Because mom was ALWAYS busy with brother, I had to be seen but not heard. There was no room for me to have an opinion, express any feelings other than happy, and I wasn't allowed to have friends over because of the "chaos" in my mom's parenting style a.k.a yelling and spanking.
  • Having to wear a bra and having the boys at school constantly snapping it
I let my friend pierce my bellybutton. Believe it or not, the safety pin piercing got super infected and I had to tell my mom. 2 weeks of being grounded and some penicillin later all was good.
  • My biggest problem when I was 11 was going from being the baby of the family too than having a little sister
  • In the hospital because I lost my left foot when I walked out in front of the hay mower that's how I spent most of that summer also had been camping the week before and was covered with poison ivy ???? love you guys
  • Biggest issue I had when I was 11 was learning to deal with having a learning disability. I was diagnosed with some pretty intense ADHD and as a result, I got put on a strong dose of Ritalin. That stuff turned me on to such a zombie that I was failing everything which then leads to me getting in trouble so the time bc everybody just thought I was slacking which then lead to a whole manner of other problems for me. I was dealing with serious depression, suicidal thoughts, an eating disorder to name a few. It would take a few years yet before I took myself off that awful pill and I began to do incredibly well in school and outside of school. I'm now 32, have the ADHD under control without the aid of drugs, am super happy with life, have the best kiddo and the best boyfriend a girl could ask for, and I'm happy with how my body looks. #igotthis
  • #TQOTD - How mad my soon-to-be ex-boyfriend would be when I had my best friend break up with him in the lunch line because I was too embarrassed to do it. He used to call me in the morning before school to tell me he hoped I'd have a great day and that he looked forward to seeing me, every.single.day. My mom made me break it off because she said I was too young to have a boyfriend.
  • When I was 11, My family had just moved from Canada (Windsor) to a small town of Union City, MI. It's a town where most people are born and raised and stay their whole lives. I was the new kid and got picked on so much! Not only was I new, but I was also foreign, the shortest in the class, and smarter than 90% of my classmates because of the huge difference in teaching styles. But I survived!
  • My biggest problem? Being fat and sassy. Still a problem lol
  • #tqotd - Anonymous please! my younger brother had been diagnosed with a serious mental illness and was in and out of psychiatric hospitals. He is relatively stable now and living on his own but that time in my life really grew me up fast.
  • Biggest problem when I was 11 was fighting off my step-father. He was a Bad, bad man ?? but thankfully the hell I endured young is over and my life today is amazing. Hope springs eternal!!
  • Tqotd: At age 11 I was a white kid in a dominantly black population school. Looking back on this year of my life I see it as a major positive impact on my view of the world, but at the time I was completely out of my element and my teacher felt like a complete bully to me, her constant teasing of the students was so odd to me and I dreaded going to school every day worrying about what was going to happen to embarrass me that day. I was easily embarrassed and shy so this was not hard to do anyway. It was also a major year for impacting how I viewed my ability to do well on school work. The teacher misgraded my papers so often I was convinced I was terrible in school. My mom kept these papers and when I was in college she gave me this box of stuff from childhood. I looked at those papers and was aghast seeing papers with F’s on them where EVERY ANSWER was actually correct. So, yeah 11 was a huge year for me.
  • Hey mine was my brothers always stealing my bike there r six of us kids and by the way fish I got a lot of likes on the best West Michigan looking man lmao
  • The uncertainty of the future! It was 1983/84 and my dad was laid 9ff from a stable job at GM. It started a journey from the east side to Lansing to GR and changing schools in 7th heada:( #1984sucked
  • Biggest problem for me when I was 11? I was getting boobs at an enormous rate and the entire school made fun of me saying that I was stuffing my bra
  • My biggest problem was not doing my homework before I played
  • Having a C cup
  • For me it was liking girls! My parents are very conservative Christians and they made it seem like it was a sin just to have a crush on someone. I have a great relationship with them now that I'm an adult, but when I was 11 I could never talk to my parents about girls!
  • I got hit in the forehead by two 2x4's after me and the neighbor's kid made a homemade catapult, the same week my brother broke his knee and my mom broke four of her toes and my dad broke his arm lifting weights, I haven't seen the neighbors kid ever since, I'm now 20
  • My biggest problem at 11 were internet/telephone wars with my sister, she turned the phone on which disconnected me from the dial-up internet, so I'd go unplug the modem on the phone which disconnected her phone call to her boyfriend, and so on and so forth
  • was 11 years old my biggest problem was that I was being terribly bullied on the bus to the point where I almost left the school
  • I broke my foot and never got to go to splash water park on 28th st. They shut down and I never go to go.
  • ??My biggest problem @ 11, was twofold. I was conflicted about whether or not I would get in trouble, or if the librarian at the school would tell my mom of I checked out a "Teen" or a "Seventeen" magazine!!! (Because at 11, I was neither 17 nor a teenager!!!??) But I had a HUGE crush on this one boy, and he liked me too, and my bff was having a BOY AND GIRL birthday party!!! I had no idea how to kiss a boy, and I knew they planned on playing the "spin the bottle get locked together in the closet for one minute game". ...It took me weeks, but I worked up the courage to check them out, I hid them in my room like porn, and was ultimately REALLY disappointed!!! The magazines were NO help whatsoever, and we just held hands and whispered in the closet!!! I didn't get my first kiss for another year and a half or two...but it WAS with that same guy that I was crushing on that caused me all that stress over checking out stupid magazines from the library at 11!!????????
  • My biggest problem at 11 was finding jeans that were long enough. I was extremely thin and gangly. Now...still long inseam, thin, eh not so much
  • You will laugh at this one. My biggest problem at 11 years old was that I found a really cool T-shirt with a cute little duck inside an egg on the front. The shirt said "I just got laid," and I couldn't understand for the life of me why my mom wouldn't let me wear it to school lol. I get it now.
  • Having to wait for my sister to get off the phone so I could use the computer. Dial-up problems.
  • Being too chubby to fit into a pair of Jordache jeans ??????
  • Biggest problem was do I hang Shaun Cassidy poster or David Cassidy, or both!!
  • My biggest problem was having to share the computer in 30-minute intervals so we could each get a turn playing The Sims. We had a schedule of who's turn it was and when for each day of the week so we couldn't argue about it. We had a serious addiction to The Sims (still do ??)
  • #tqotd My biggest problem when I was 11 was acting like a normal person. I was a weird kid and that followed me through my life. It sucks because mostly I'm normal now and I feel I interact with people better now. But 11 year old me was a bit nut job and no one liked me.
  • At 11yrs old life wasn't good. I had to fear if my mom was gonna abuse me.
  • My biggest problem when I was 11 was that I had (and still have) severe chronic migraines and missed a lot of schools. #tqotd
  • My biggest problem was that school, my strict teacher, in particular, filled me with anxiety
  • So my biggest hurdle at 11 years old was trying to figure out how to hide that I had armpit hair from My classmates. They used to call me He-man. Kids can be so cruel. My mom wouldn't let me shave til I was 16. Its funny now though thinking back about it
  • My biggest problem when I was 11 was finding my grandmother dead after a heart attack... ??
  • Question of the day: getting my Gameboy back from my brothers.
  • I had scoliosis surgery and started at a new school. I had a back brace and took time to recover.
  • my biggest problem when I was 11... Was having people actually know what my first name was. I'm an identical twin and all through grade school no one could tell us apart
  • I broke my foot and never got to go to splash water park on 28th st. They shut down and I never go to go.
  • NKOTB had broken up and it would be another 4 years before boybands came back.
  • That my best friend and only friend was a huge jerk and I could only subconsciously admit it to myself
  • My biggest problem when I was 11 years old was friends!! Backstabbing, immature girls!! Girls are SO MEAN!!! Nothing has changed. Now that I have a 13-year-old daughter, I still don't get it. I didn't understand it then, and I still don't understand it now. My daughter has more boy FRIENDS now(not to be confused with boyfriends) and she has so much less drama!! I understand why she'd rather hang out with the guys!!
  • Just thought of something about when I was 11. I just learned how to make instant mashed potatoes, damn!!!! I ate them in the morning, I ate them at night, I ate them so much now my bodies a fright #stillinlovewiththem
  • #TQOD My biggest problem when I was 11? My father and his wife owed me hundreds of dollars in babysitting money, due to them being severe alcoholics. :(
  • Everyone in my family was teasing me about who my "boyfriend" was at school......little did they know it was all about the girls for this girl.
  • My biggest problem at 11 years old was when my parents needed a break from pulling kids tubing on the lake.
  • My biggest problem when I was 11 was convincing my very old school father that diving was a sport. Against his wishes, I competed anyway. He changed his mind when I was 8nvited to compete in the U.S. Junior Olympics, where I was ranked 15th in the nation.
  • My biggest issue at 11 was trying to convince my family I wasn't bulimic. I used to go immediately to the bathroom after big family meals at the holidays. I found out later in life that I was lactose intolerant.
  • I got mocked for my looks so bad I almost had to repeat the 6th grade for being absent so much because of my anxiety
  • Becoming a woman at 11
  • My biggest problem when I was 11 years old was being made fun of on the school bus on the way home. This boy named Pat used to make fun of my nose every single day and told me that I look like Gonzo from the Muppets. It was so mean and I really didn't think I had a big nose but he told me every single day that I did. When it was in my early 20s I ended up getting a nose job. Did I need one? Probably not, but for some reason that stuck with me and that's how I saw myself. Kids can be mean! If my own children ever made fun of other kids like that...watch out! Love you guys!
  • Which girlfriend to kiss at recess
  • PU.BER.TY!!!! UGH!!!
  • #tqotd thinking the FBI was going to get me for illegally downloading all the music on Limewire
  • When I was 11 I struggled the most with trying to get along with my new Stepsiblings. Now about 12 years later we're closer than ever <3
  • My biggest problem was I went to summer camp and the cook had hepatitis a. he gave it to almost half the camp. So I was out of school for 6 months, very very very sick.
  • I would have to say my red hair. When I was younger redhead was not a cool thing to be. People made fun of my hair color ruthlessly. I would actually have adults come up to me and say I'd rather be dead than have a redhead when I was a little kid. It was ruthless. Now everyone thinks red hair is so cool and the greatest thing to have but back then ouch
  • I lost my brother. It was really hard for me to understand and my family. It has been 13 years its still hard but we have traditions to help remember him
  • The kids in Middle School! They were just mean! (I fear for my child next year) I also put my hand thru a window that summer. (Went to close a door, which had to be shut hard & my hand slipped on the wood and went thru the window)
was so chubs. kids teased me. My parents used to take us to Ground Round (remember that joint?) where kids meals were "pay what you weigh" and my OLDER BROTHER would hop on....85 lbs. then me... like 147 lbs or something... the hostess weighing us would look at me like GEEEEEEEEZ.
  • My first boyfriend broke up with me. He has red hair and I can't trust them now!! Besides you fish. #firstheartbreak
  • When I was 11 My mom broke her left wrist and right shoulder at the same time so I had to wipe her on the toilet give her showers make her dinner and lunch make sure she was sad before I went off to school and then when I got home I had to do my homework and take care of her because she can take care of me
  • Biggest challenge at 11...my mom had been remarried a year to my amazing stepdad and we went to Disney world. Sadly, he had a heart attack and passed away at Epcot. To date, I've never been back to Disney and that was 25 years ago
  • I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 10 and a half. so when I was 11 the biggest struggle I had was controlling my blood sugars. Still fighting the struggle 20 years later

  • The biggest problem I had when I was 11 was the loss of both my maternal and paternal grandfathers. One pass just before I turn 11 and the other one past one year and 7 days after the first. That's always really fun trying to deal with grief at 11
