What’s An Everyday Noise That Makes You Cringe? – #TQOTD

If you hate certain noises and you listened to the show today, we tried to make you cringe with today's Text Question of the Day.

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What’s an everyday noise that makes you cringe?

• When people don’t pick up their feet when they walk ughhh
• Clearing of the throat during flu season
• When people suck their tongue against their teeth. Hearing people chew
• People on speakerphone in public
• A cat puking up a hairball
• Chewing loudly, throat clearing with phlegm in it. Nose sniffling, heavy breathing, gagging
• chewing with their mouths open, snoring!!
• The sound of people coughing the wet phlegmy coughs (especially when they don't cover their mouths). Pass the Lysol.
• Worst sound ever is styrofoam scraping against itself(styrofoam coolers) nails on a chalkboard, loud chewing.
• The ceiling fan in my husband’s bedroom (we’ve been in a sleep divorce for 17 years due to extreme snoring) makes the most god awful noise ever.
• Pen tapping...at college...every single day. especially during tests. This one guy apparently has a rough time with the tests because he sighs LOUDLY, so many times and given that the room is mostly silent it is very noticeable and makes it hard to concentrate.
• Gum chewing. For Pete’s sake people close your damn mouth while your chewing gum. Nobody wants to see it or hear it.
• People chewing with their mouths open. People shuffling their feet. Anyone with a nasty cough (tis the season).
• Eating noises. I can’t even deal! When people try to chew and breath at the same time, it is the worst! Pick one, do you want to chew or breath at the moment?! Because ya sound like a dragon when you try to do both!
• Forks scraping on teeth gulping of water, the sound people make when they take a taste if something and are trying to figure out if they like it or not!! How would I write that ... like a limp smack??
• The sound of a can opening. It doesn't matter if it is a beer can or pop can. I was in a 4 yr relationship where my boyfriend had a drinking problem, so know that sound makes my skin crawl.... Ended the relationship this past November.
• Chewing. Oh muh gerd it sends me in to a frickin rage if I can hear somebody chewing. Only solice I get when I hear that sound is that eventually I won't be able to hear it since I'm going deaf.
• Where do I start? People nervous whistling, clearing their throats constantly, coughing, eating pretzels, carrots or chips, slurping, cracking gum, nails clicking on keyboards, clicking or tapping pens...and in some circumstances, BREATHING!!!!!
• Anything that scratches the frost inside of a freezer. Makes me shiver and shudder every time I hear it.
• People cutting their nails at work.
• People eating crunchy potato chips! Every time we have a training there is something we need read. At the same training we have super extra crunchy potato chips and the sound makes me crazy and I can’t concentrate on what we are supposed to read!!!
• Q-tips and cotton balls! Don't laugh, it's a thing! I hate the 'sound' they make!
• People slamming on their keyboards at work. Or chewing loudly. The dog licking himself. Good God! Cringe double cringe..
• Sounds of puking... Not really everyday noise but it makes me want to.... Well, puke
• When people don't silence the click noise on their cell phones. My husband has kept his on and his typing drives me crazy. Sniffing boogers instead of blowing them out.
• Watch beeps! Or any alarm that beeps. I stop any and all beeping alarms before they go off if I can help it!
• The sound of air breaks.... backing into the dock....when it almost break time or end of the shift!
• Peaple who smack their lips while eating and Gum popping. Drives me nuts. Teens who roll there eyes. I know it doesn't make noises but if it did !!!!!
• Loud breathers.... Clipping or filing of nails.... Biting on silverware.... The exhaust fan in the bathroom.... repetitive Clicking.... Cereal slurpers.....
• A co worker of mine that is always swishing around water in his mouth! I want to gag every time and ask him to go outside to do it
• People who eat with a fork and scrape it against their teeth!! Awful!
• The sound of a few of my coworker’s voices.
• Cutting nails at your desk, coffee cups against desks in my department haha
• People biting into an apple. The sound of the crunch and the slurp makes me cringe! Crunch slurp crunch slurp...
• People who growl while they eat (like its so good) they sound like a garbage disposal.
• The back up beep of the power chairs at Walmart
• Chip crunching and gum popping!
• Snuffing up snot and making that haulking noise in your throat when you have a loogie
• Forks (spoons or knives too) scraped across plates.
• My dog starting to puke in my bed never jump up so fast in my life
• The hard clapping my son makes during a football game!!!! Gives me a headache!!!!
• When you’re just about to fall asleep, and then bam, you hear your dog licking himself
• People blowing their nose or belching when I eat.
• Other people eating chips is the worse sound ever
• My brother chewing with his mouth open. Ever since he was little.
• My neighbor’s dogs barking every blinking time they let them out. Seriously, how can they not hear them?
• my upstairs tenents’ voices. her’s is very high pitched. also their son playing his recorder over and over and over....
• Smacking gum or snapping it and not picking up your feet when ya walk. Hate the scuffing
• My husband's obnoxious alarm, he always picks the most annoying rap song. When it goes off I wanna kick him awake.
• Not hearing a sound from my 2 year old in his room...
• That noise right before your cat/dog pukes. Y’all know that sound if you’ve got pets...
• A dog licking itself. An instant infuriating feeling comes over me, just like with the excessive breathers and loud chewers.
• Screeching kids and whiny cats lol
• My mother smacking her gum.
• My husband doing his daily morning haaaacccckkkk.
• Husband breathing through his nose, heater blower in the truck and Elevator music...What's even worse than that, is eating meat after seeing it raw.

• Someone vomiting. Gets me everytime

• My husbamds knees make am awful sound when he comes down the stairs and I cringe and cover my ears every time. Ewee
• My kids chewing with their mouth open!
• Snotting, chewing food loudly, ppl with bad English that sound ignorant.
• Chewing. I can’t stand it. It’s disgusting
• Screaming kids.
• TQOTD....I am not sure what's worse, my husbands throat clearing (it's loud enough to startle a person or scare the hell out of you when he does it. It's like ALL THE TIME.) Or his coffee slurping. He likes shifts his lips off to one side and slurps that mother fishing coffee and I wanna take the mug and dump it out. And Fish if I can hear him slurp it, you know it's loud

• Everyday noise: People crunching, chewing, gulping, slurping. Literally, MAKES ME ANGRY!

• I hate the sound of chewing (especially open-mouth) and the sounds of "headphone overflow."
• My everyday pet peeve is people saying the word "moist"
• Someone cutting their finger nails
• The dinging the car makes when. The door is open and the keys are still in the of itigion
• My noise that gets me is my boyfriend grinding his teeth in the middle of the night. Ugh. and forks dragging across glass/ceramic plates.
• The sound of my two youngest boys bickering makes me cringe.
• It’s not an everyday noise but the emergency sound like in the last star wars movie. It’s like a low bwooomp sound. Really gives me a heart attack . They use that noise in a lot of movies. Normal people can’t hear it if they are not listening for it.
• Hey Connie and Fish, it’s not a sound that makes me cringe, but my friend will lose her mind any time something involves styrofoam. Removing eggs from a carton or from a package, it’s like nails on a chalkboard to her.
• CHIP BAGS !!!!!!
• The sound of sucking, I would be sitting in the living room and I hear the sound of sucking, it's my brother's girlfriend up in the loft sucking on something and it happens every freaking day it drives me crazy I just want to scream and tell her to just bite the freaking tootsie pop already.
• TQOTD: the swishing of windbreaker material... or like a ski jacket... GAHHHH! The sound of dry hands rubbing together
• My cat has upper respiratory problems and he’s currently on medication to help wither the problem. So until it clears up I periodically have to hear him retching. I can’t stand it
• TQOTD.. I can't stand to hear myself chew/swallow. It literally makes me feel crazy. I need background noise so I can focus on other noises. And please keep your own mouth shut and eat quietly no smacking or juicy noises lol I feel like eating shouldn't be so hard
• TQOTD Sound that makes me cringe is when my dogs’ high pitch whine at me to go outside after just letting them out 5 minutes previous. ‍♀️
• Right now, my dog is licking herself...slurp, slurp, slurp
• I CANNOT STOMACH MOUTH SOUNDS! Chewing. That gross thing that happens when some barbarian is opening and closing their moist cakehole for the sole purpose of the sound it makes! A loud swallower. UGH! DISGUSTING! #ShutYourMouth #Barbarians #HaveSomeDecency #IKnowYourMotherTaughtYouBetter
• My daughter watching Mukbang videos on You Tube...the people who slurp their food calling it asmr...is disgusting.
