What’s Something About Your Job You Don’t Feel Like Doing Most Of The Time? – #TQOTD

Tuesday for Christine-ology, Christine was talking about the extra things we do off the air for the station that isn’t as fun as the show. We all have that thing. Steve for example hates the schedule vs. his sleepy time. I on the other hand love to talk so while the music is fun on the station I would love all talk. What about you?

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What about your job do you have to do but don’t feel like doing most of the time?

• Be nice to people
• My job
• Driving the box truck. It irritates my sciatica, causing me a great deal of pain.
• Working
• Ask for a death certificate
• Mopping
• Cleaning the putty out of the carpet
• Showing up
• I'm a nurse. Charting is the worst part of my day!
• Cleaning, changing poopy diapers, being on call 24/7
• Price changes and planograms!
• Get out of bed and show up on time!
• Rude people on the phone
• Bringing my cart alllll the way to the back and then walk back up front when I take a break, instead of being able to leave it somewhere up front.
• Talking. Repeating myself constantly to people who only listen to what they want to hear.
• Having to work as early as 4am one day, then could be going in at 1pm the next day, then maybe 10am the following day, and never knowing what I'm working until between 3 and 5pm the night before. If we were paid to work such a crazy schedule, that would be nice, but we don't. We provide a valuable service to our local community, but are the lowest paid in quite a far radius. (community bus driver)

• Waking up at 5 a.m.

• Meetings
• I feel very fortunate to finally have a job that I love. The only part about it that I don’t like is having to explain to a client that a carrier lost their package, or that customs is holding it pending an investigation. Australian customs has been the worst to deal with.
• Cleaning the litter box for my kitty
• Talk to mean people
• Answering the phones! I absolutely hate listening to people whine and I literally want to say “did you wake up and you're alive?” ok good now be grateful for that!
• Going there
• On my dairy farm I hate having to bed the calf hutches.
• Vacuum
• Working with dinosaur vacuums (Kirby). Come on people...time to upgrade (Maybe a Shark vacuum ).
• Laundry
• Answering the phones
• I am a tiny short girl that has to put up with sexist men daily! I’m a massage therapist who loves my job, and hates when I have new patients who judge me based on my gender/size. I’m small but I’m feisty grrrrr
• Showing up at especially job #2 lol some days job #1 really do not like getting up at 5am
• Paperwork. We have check sheets for the *bleeping* check sheets. (Not even kidding)
• Extra reporting since Covid and going in on the third shift for employee meetings.
• I’d say babysitting grown adults making sure they do their Da** jobs!
• Moving jobs around the plant by hand.. it's a duty that needs to be done, but some days... lol
• Washing dishes
• Having to do other people’s jobs. Daily
• Laundry! I absolutely hate it!
• Telling people they have to wear a mask in the store
• Listening to the same people complain over and over
• Answering the phone when it rings… i don't have time to answer the phone!
• I never feel like being kind to rude patients!!! Ugh but it’s part of the job
• effing recess duty! Daily... every day, I get to go outside... not even rotate with other staff inside .... OR rotate duties like ALL other teachers ( who only are assigned 1 day per week) without any prep hours ... 0 prep hours for the week where all others get at least 1 per day or more. No stipends either #teachingsuckssometimes
• I don't like having a one-on-one every month
• Talk to humans
• What I do at work that I don’t like, using the copy machine. It should never take long but it always does because it is always jammed, out of paper, out of order, or in the middle of a large job.
• Going to court to evict residents who don't pay rent
• Being nice to creepy dudes that hit on me and coworkers.. I JUST WORK HERE.
• Having meaningless conversations and act like I enjoy having them
• Hemorrhoids
• Nothing! I love all of it! No sarcastic comments here to come bite me in the rear.
• I've been an Administrative Assistant for almost 20 years and I love my job and my coworkers but I hate catering food for work (could be anywhere from 4-120 people) and I ABSOLUTELY HATE booking flights for executive travel. So much time is wasted because the Boss wants to see a bazillion different flight plans. Why can’t you book the flight that you want for yourself? Cut out the middleman! It’s literally a waste of my time. I do love my job. Just not those two specific tasks. But I do them with a smile because ain’t nobody else gonna do it!!!
• Changing my 5 weeks old son when he wakes up to eat at 5am. I love him, but I could definitely do without the peeing everywhere the second the diaper comes off. #nottheshoweriwanted
• Karens. Too many Karen’s.
• Wearing pants.
