Since today is Lent, we figured that our Text Question of the Day can dive into what you are going to be giving up. And if you aren't religious, we want to know what you think you should give up for 40 days.

Today is Lent. Religious or not. What is something you do that you should really try and give up for 40 days?

  • Starbucks!
  • Wine. Quarantine definitely had pushed my limits.
  • Chocolate
  • Social media.
  • Social media and Diet Coke (don’t drink it in excess, but one can/day), think social media is going to be more difficult
  • I am giving up soda forever. I have had a terrible past week with kidney stones, which are most likely a result of caffeine / soda and not enough water. So, water it is. Although not having soda is really going to be an adjustment.
  • Cigarettes. Although I’m trying to stop those altogether.
  • Having horrible road rage.
  • Nothing... I have no willpower!
  • Swearing. It'll never happen but probably should.
  • Wine. I love wine...soooo much. It’s a real sacrifice for me.
  • Candy
  • Snacking
  • Fast food and cake, specifically carrot cake from Russ’! Man that stuff is good!! Oh, this is going to be hard
  • Eat?

  • I try to focus on goals year round instead of twice a year for New Year and Lent. Thus, I’m not giving up on anything for 40 days. I already live by not surrounding myself with negativity & honestly I think everyone has given up a lot in the last year. I desperately miss dining out in restaurants!
  • Not giving up but trying to be more patient and listen to people more. I brush off people too fast sometimes.
  • I'm giving up Religion
  • I’m giving up Red Bull’s for lent. This may be the hardest thing I’ve given up in years.
  • I need to give up my bad eating habits and my laziness, and start exercising!
  • Cursing...I do it way too frogging much.
  • Going to Bath and Body Works. Oh this is going to be hard. We are saving up for the summer vacations
  • I will be giving up caffeine & dessert. The cup of coffee on the way to work will be tough. I'm committed! I made cupcakes tonight as my last dessert.
  • Overeating! I've really lost control lately - I think that's because of how cold it's been. But cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, and pizza, are sooooo good!
  • Sugar an flour! Working on a new me!
  • Eat sugary things...I think I have a problem LOL
  • Cherry coke, I can’t get enough of it, but need to lose some weight so it would do me some good.
  • Pop....I gave it up for awhile but recently started drinking it again fairly often and I know its bad and I need to drink more water but its so delicious! lol

  • Eating chocolate..lol but I want to be that old lady that can say I lived so long because I ate chocolate everyday.

  • Drinking soda I dont drink a lot of it but knocking it completely out would be nice

  • Eating junk food...might actually lose some weight and create new habit if I could pull it off.

  • I am trying to give up caffeine. But as a household we will be working on decluttering our home. We are participating in 40 bags in 40 days. It may take us a few extra days because we will be gone a week during lent.

  • What should I give up for 40 days? My trend of not exercising. Stepped on the scale this morning and that thing spun like the Wheel on The Wheel of Fortune. Time to get moving!

  • I went through rehab so no alcohol for me for almost 8 years. I should stop my sweet snacks.

  • Each year for lent I give up Facebook. I spend way too much time scrolling on Facebook when I could be doing something more productive
  • I make faces & gestures behind the husbands back....they vary depending on his attitude at the time.
  • Buying scratch off lotto tickets. I would save money. However, after staying HOME and doing NOTHING for 11 months, that is literally my only entertainment.
  • Accepting gifts from ex’s I have no intentions of getting back together with. (In my defense, I have bluntly told them there is no chance of getting back together)
